Active Stocks Buzz: Baidu Inc (ADR) (NASDAQ:BIDU), MDU Resources Group Inc (NYSE:MDU), DISH Network Corp (NASDAQ:DISH)

On Wednesday, Shares of Baidu Inc (ADR) (NASDAQ:BIDU), lost -4.24% to $160.82.

Baidu, declared its unaudited financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2015.

Second Quarter 2015 Results

Baidu stated total revenues of RMB16.575 billion ($2.673 billion) for the second quarter of 2015, representing a 38.3% enhance from the corresponding period in 2014.

Online marketing revenues for the second quarter of 2015 were RMB16.227 billion ($2.617 billion), representing a 37.1% enhance from the corresponding period in 2014. Baidu had about 590,000 active online marketing customers in the second quarter of 2015, representing a 20.9% enhance from the corresponding period in 2014 and a 12.6% enhance from the first quarter of 2015. Revenue per online marketing customer for the second quarter was about RMB27,400 ($4,419), a 13.2% enhance from the corresponding period in 2014 and a 15.1% enhance contrast to the first quarter of 2015.

Baidu, Inc. provides Internet search services in China and internationally. It offers Chinese language search platform on its Baidu.com Website that enables users to find relevant information online, counting Web pages, news, images, documents, and multimedia files through links offered on its Website; and international products and services to users in other countries.

Shares of MDU Resources Group Inc (NYSE:MDU), inclined 2.00% to $18.85, during its last trading session.

MDU Resources Group stated second quarter merged adjusted earnings of $29.1 million, or 15 cents per common share, contrast to $34.1 million, or 18 cents per common share for the second quarter of 2014. On a GAAP basis, the company stated a loss of $229.8 million, or $1.18 per share, contrast to second quarter 2014 earnings of $53.9 million, or 28 cents per share.

Adjusted earnings for the six months ended June 30 were $56.5 million, or 29 cents per share, contrast to $69.6 million, or 36 cents per share a year ago. On a GAAP basis, the company stated a loss of $535.9 million, or $2.75 per share, contrast to earnings of $110.4 million, or 58 cents per share in 2014.

Because of the company’s planned decision to market the exploration and production business, in this release adjusted earnings are defined as results from its utility, pipeline and energy services, and construction businesses. Adjusted earnings exclude results for its exploration and production business. GAAP earnings are all-in. Merged adjusted earnings are a non-GAAP measure. For the three and six-months ended June 30, 2015, DISH has comprised of all of its Sling TV live, linear streaming over-the-top Internet-based television services in the company’s total Pay-TV metrics, counting in the Pay-TV subscriber, Pay-TV ARPU and Pay-TV churn rate numbers set forth below.

In the second quarter, DISH activated about 638,000 gross new Pay-TV subscribers contrast to about 656,000 gross new Pay-TV subscribers in the preceding year’s second quarter. Net Pay-TV subscribers declined about 81,000 in the second quarter contrast to a loss of about 44,000 in the second quarter 2014.
