Active Stocks Buzz: Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F), Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE:CVC), Virgin America Inc. (NASDAQ:VA)

On Friday, Shares of Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F), gained 1.05% to $14.48.

The Board of Directors of Ford Motor Company, declared a third quarter dividend of $0.15 per share on the company’s outstanding Class B and common stock.

The third quarter dividend is the same level as the dividends paid in the first and second quarters of 2015, and a 20 percent enhance from the dividends paid during each quarter of 2014.

Ford’s capital strategy is to maintain an investment grade balance sheet, finance the One Ford plan and deliver shareholder value.

The third quarter dividend is payable on Sept. 1, 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of business on July 31, 2015.

Ford Motor Company manufactures and distributes automobiles worldwide. The company operates through two sectors, Automotive and Financial Services. The Automotive sector develops, manufactures, distributes, and services vehicles, parts, and accessories.

Shares of Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE:CVC), inclined 7.32% to $26.67, during its last trading session, hitting its highest level, after Altice (ATCEY) chairman Patrick Drahi named the cable company as a possible takeover target.

Drahi said he would be interested in pursuing Cablevision and Cox Communications in an interview, according to The Wall Street Journal.

In May, Altice attained a 70% stake in regional cable and broadband provider Suddenlink.

Cablevision Systems Corporation, together with its auxiliaries, owns and operates cable systems in the United States. The company operates through three segments: Cable, Lightpath, and Other.

Finally, Virgin America Inc. (NASDAQ:VA), ended its last trade with 5.79% gain, and closed at $28.69.

Virgin America, stated its preliminary operational results for June 2015. The airline’s traffic (measured in revenue passenger miles) reduced 1.9 percent on capacity (measured in accessible seat miles) that was 1.3% lower from the same month in 2014.

Load factor was 85.6 percent, down 0.5 points from June 2014. The number of onboard passengers raised 4.1 percent from the same month last year.

Virgin America Inc. provides planned air travel services. As of December 31, 2014, it offered services to 21 airports in the United States and Mexico with a fleet of about 53 Airbus single-aisle aircraft, counting of 10 Airbus A319s and 43 Airbus A320s.
