Active Stocks Investor’s Alert: Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C), MGIC Investment Corp. (NYSE:MTG), SanDisk Corp. (NASDAQ:SNDK)

On Monday, Shares of Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C), gained 0.17% to $58.85, hitting its highest level.

Citigroup, stated net income for the second quarter 2015 of $4.8 billion, or $1.51 per diluted share, on revenues of $19.5 billion. This contrast to net income of $181 million, or $0.03 per diluted share, on revenues of $19.4 billion for the second quarter 2014.

CVA/DVA was $312 million ($196 million after-tax) in the second quarter 2015, contrast to negative $33 million (negative $20 million after-tax) in the preceding year period. Second quarter 2014 results also comprised of the impact of a $3.8 billion charge ($3.7 billion after-tax) to settle legacy RMBS and CDO-related claims.5 Not taking into account CVA/DVA, revenues were $19.2 billion, down 2% from the preceding year period. Not taking into account CVA/DVA and the impact of the mortgage settlement in the preceding year period, earnings were $1.45 per diluted share, up 17% from preceding year earnings of $1.24 per diluted share.

Shares of MGIC Investment Corp. (NYSE:MTG), declined -1.61% to $11.03, during its last trading session.

MGIC Investment Corporation, stated operating and financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.

Net income for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 was $113.7 million, contrast with a net income of $45.5 million for the same quarter a year ago. Diluted net income per share was $0.28 for the quarter ending June 30, 2015, contrast to diluted net income per share of $0.12 for the same quarter a year ago.

Patrick Sinks, CEO of MTG and Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation (“MGIC”), said, “I am happy to report that in the second quarter of 2015 the company continued to grow our insurance in force by adding another $11.8 billion of high quality new insurance.” Sinks added, “At the same time, I am encouraged by the positive trends we continue to experience on pre-2009 business relative to new delinquent notices, paid claims, and the declining delinquent inventory. The combination of profitable new business, the continued runoff of the older books, and a strengthened housing market, positions us well to provide credit enhancement solutions to our customers now and in the future.”

MGIC Investment Corporation, through its auxiliaries, provides private mortgage insurance and ancillary services to lenders and government sponsored entities in the United States.

Finally, SanDisk Corp. (NASDAQ:SNDK), ended its last trade with 0.16% gain, and closed at $55.48.
