Barrick is seeking to sell a 50% stake in the mine, which is valued at about $2 billion, but some of the offers it has received has been for the whole asset, according to Bloomberg sources.
The sale is part of Barrick’s formerly declared plans to sell off assets and reduce its net debt by at least $3 billion this year.
