Active Stocks to Track: Office Depot, (NASDAQ:ODP), DaVita HealthCare Partners, (NYSE:DVA), Qlik Technologies, (NASDAQ:QLIK)

On Thursday, Shares of Office Depot, Inc. (NASDAQ:ODP), gained 1.14% to $8.85.

Office Depot, a leading global provider of office products, services and solutions and parent company of Office Depot and OfficeMax, found that while nearly two-thirds (66 percent) of small business owners (SMBs) feel that a disaster plan is necessary for their business, significantly fewer (57 percent) feel that their business is actually prepared to handle a natural disaster.

According to the latest Office Depot Small Business Index, 27 percent of SMBs have needed to close their business in the past year due to weather related issues. While larger sized SMBs feel more prepared than smaller sized SMBs, one-third (33 percent) of these larger SMBs still do not feel prepared to handle a natural disaster.

As firm size enhances, so does the likelihood that a business will have a dedicated plan in place for a disaster. Eighty-seven percent of those who have a disaster plan feel prepared for a natural disaster. Micro businesses with one to five employees are most likely to cite a lack of need as their primary reason for not having a disaster plan.

Office Depot, Inc., together with its auxiliaries, supplies office products and services. The company’s North American Retail division sells an assortment of merchandise, counting office supplies, technology products and solutions, business machines and related supplies, facilities products, and office furniture under various brands through its chain of office supply stores.

Shares of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. (NYSE:DVA), declined -0.48% to $78.94, during its last trading session.

DaVita HealthCare Partners, declared the company has expanded its office space to comprise two more floors of the Gates Building, located at 1551 Wewatta Street in Lower Downtown Denver.

After moving from Los Angeles to Denver in 2010, DaVita HealthCare Partners’ headquarters temporarily resided in the Gates Building until construction was complete on its new world headquarters, located at 2000 16th Street. The company retained offices in the Gates Building and will now occupy six of its 10 floors.

The new space mirrors the aesthetics of the company’s world headquarters building with bright colors, numerous pathways and dynamic graphics to promote the DaVita HealthCare Partners culture.

DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. provides kidney dialysis services for patients suffering from chronic kidney failure or end stage renal disease (ESRD). The company operates in two divisions, Kidney Care and HealthCare Partners.

Finally, Qlik Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:QLIK), ended its last trade with 1.82% gain, and closed at $35.78.
