Active Stocks Trader’s Buzzers: CONSOL Energy Inc. (NYSE:CNX), United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE:UPS), BCE Inc. (NYSE:BCE)

On Tuesday, Shares of CONSOL Energy Inc. (NYSE:CNX), gained 2.31% to $17.75.

CONSOL Energy stated a net loss of $603 million for the quarter, or ($2.64) per diluted share. This compares to a net loss of $25 million, or ($0.11) per diluted share from the year-earlier quarter. The net loss for the quarter comprises a noteworthy unusual item: an $829 million pre-tax impairment in the carrying value of CONSOL’s shallow oil and natural gas assets largely due to the continuation of depressed NYMEX forward prices.

After adjusting for certain unusual items, which are listed in the EBITDA reconciliation table, the company had an adjusted net loss in the 2015 second quarter of $84 million, or ($0.37) per share. Adjusted EBITDA was $138 million for the 2015-second quarter, contrast to $246 million in the year-earlier quarter. Cash flow from operations in the just-ended quarter was $62 million, contrast to $221 million in the year-earlier quarter.

CONSOL Energy Inc., together with its auxiliaries, operates as an integrated energy company in the United States and internationally. The company operates through two divisions, Exploration and Production (E&P), and Coal. The E&P division produces pipeline quality natural gas primarily to gas wholesalers.

Shares of United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE:UPS), inclined 5.07% to $99.94, during its last trading session.

United Parcel Service is expanding the UPS Access Point(TM) network, a local solution for consumers and small businesses who need convenient access to UPS.

UPS Access Point locations offer convenient package pickup and drop off. UPS Access Point locations are local businesses, primarily neighborhood convenience and grocery stores, dry cleaners and delicatessens with extended evening and weekend hours. All 4,400 The UPS Store(R) locations throughout the U.S. are also part of the network.

For some consumers living in densely populated areas, receiving packages can be difficult if they are not home to accept the delivery and UPS is unable to leave the package in a secure location. UPS is already solving these consumers’ delivery challenges with UPS Access Point locations in Boston, Chicago, New York City, and the Washington DC and San Francisco metropolitan areas. Later this summer, consumers will be able to pick up or return packages at UPS Access Point locations in about 100 cities around the U.S. counting Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Seattle, St. Louis and Tampa, Fla.

United Parcel Service, Inc., a package delivery company, provides transportation, logistics, and financial services in the United States and internationally. It operates in three segments: U.S. Domestic Package, International Package, and Supply Chain & Freight.

Finally, BCE Inc. (NYSE:BCE), ended its last trade with 0.54% gain, and closed at $40.81.

BCE will hold its second-quarter 2015 results conference call with the financial community on Thursday, August 6, 2015 , at 8:00 am eastern.
