On Wednesday, Shares of Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:ABX), lost -2.43% to $9.65, hitting its lowest level, as Gold prices fell to four-month lows on Wednesday, extending losses for a third session as Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said the U.S. central bank remains on track to raise interest rates this year.

U.S. stock prices held steady, while the dollar rose 0.6 percent against a basket of currencies, pressuring gold, which is priced in the dollar. Reuters Reports.

Barrick Gold Corporation produces and sells gold and copper. The company is also involved in exploration and mine development activities. It conducts mining, development and exploration, and other activities in various countries, counting the United States, Canada, Australia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Papua New Guinea, Tanzania, Zambia, and Saudi Arabia.

Shares of Penn Virginia Corporation (NYSE:PVA), declined -12.78% to $3.14, during its last trading session.

Penn Virginia Corporation, declared that it has reached a contract to sell its East Texas assets to an unrevealed buyer for gross cash proceeds of $75 million. The sale is predictable to close by the end of August 2015 and is subject to customary purchase price adjustments and other customary closing conditions. The effective date of the sale is May 1, 2015.

The properties to be sold had net production of about 1,870 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day during the second quarter of 2015, comprising of 76% natural gas, 16% natural gas liquids (NGLs) and 8% oil. As a result of the divestiture, stated 2015 production is predictable to decrease by an estimated 200,000 BOE. Estimated proved reserves associated with the divested properties at year-end 2014, as determined by third party engineers, were 13.7 million BOE, 85% of which were proved developed. The reserves comprised of 77% natural gas, 16% NGLs and 6% oil.

Penn Virginia Corporation, an independent oil and gas company, explores, develops, and produces crude oil, natural gas liquids, and natural gas in various onshore regions of the United States. The company’s operations comprise the drilling of unconventional horizontal development wells in the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas.

Finally, Endologix Inc. (NASDAQ:ELGX), ended its last trade with -4.15% loss, and closed at $14.80.

Endologix, declared details regarding the release of its second quarter 2015 financial results, which will take place on Monday, August 3, 2015 after the close of the market.
