Active Stocks Under Consideration: MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM), Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE:CLF), Sequenom Inc. (NASDAQ:SQNM)

On Friday, Shares of MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM), gained 1.03% to $22.48.

MGM Resorts International has been recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation for its innovative sustainability initiatives and commitment to alternative energy sources.

The company has been named a finalist for Best Environmental Stewardship Program in the 2015 Corporate Citizenship Awards.

In 2014, MGM Resorts reached a major milestone in its commitment to environmental best practices. The company partnered with NRG Renew LLC, a wholly owned partner of NRG Energy, Inc. (NRG), the country’s largest independent power producers, to install a 6.4 MWdc (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) array on the rooftop of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, spanning 20 acres. Cliffs Natural Resources declared the early results of its formerly declared offer to purchase for cash, subject to certain terms and conditions, certain of its outstanding 3.95% Senior Notes due 2018. The Company also declared that it raised the maximum aggregate principal amount of the Notes to be purchased following the Tender Offer from $100,000,000 to $123,694,000. Tendered Notes cannot be withdrawn after the Withdrawal deadline, which was 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on August 13, 2015.

On July 31, 2015, the Company commenced the Tender Offer in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Offer to Purchase and a related Letter of Transmittal, both dated July 31, 2015. The Tender Offer will expire at midnight, New York City time, on August 27, 2015, unless extended or earlier terminated by the Company.

Cliffs Natural Resources Inc., a mining and natural resources company, produces iron ore and metallurgical coal. It operates five iron ore mines that produces iron ore pellets in Michigan and Minnesota; Koolyanobbing complex situated in northeast of the town of Southern Cross, which produces lump and fines iron ore; and two metallurgical coal mines located in Alabama and West Virginia.

Finally, Sequenom Inc. (NASDAQ:SQNM), ended its last trade with -1.94% loss, and closed at $2.28.

Sequenom declared its 2015 investor and analyst day will be held on September 28 at 2:00 p.m. EDT in New York, NY. The presentation will comprise a talk aboution of the Company’s corporate vision and plans for reproductive health and oncology testing.

Sequenom, Inc., a life sciences company, develops and commercializes molecular diagnostics testing services for the women’s health and oncology markets in the United States and internationally.
