Active Stocks Under Consideration: Southwest Airlines Co (NYSE:LUV), Commercial Metals Company (NYSE:CMC), Vivint Solar Inc (NYSE:VSLR)

On Thursday, Shares of Southwest Airlines Co (NYSE:LUV), gained 0.49% to $32.52.

Southwest Airlines, showed its continued commitment to the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) community through its celebration of LGBT Pride Month in June. Shares of Commercial Metals Company (NYSE:CMC), inclined 0.39% to $15.64, during its last trading session.

Commercial Metals Company, declared financial results for its third quarter ended May 31, 2015. Net earnings attributable to CMC for the three months ended May 31, 2015 were $56.7 million ($0.49 per diluted share) on net sales of $1.5 billion. This compares to net earnings attributable to CMC of $23.6 million ($0.20 per diluted share) on net sales of $1.7 billion for the third quarter ended May 31, 2014.

Earnings from ongoing operations for the third quarter of fiscal 2015 were $67.1 million ($0.58 per diluted share), contrast with earnings from ongoing operations of $24.5 million ($0.21 per diluted share) for the third quarter of fiscal 2014.

Commercial Metals Company manufactures, recycles, and markets steel and metal products, and related materials and services in the United States and internationally. It operates through five segments: Americas Recycling, Americas Mills, Americas Fabrication, International Mill, and International Marketing and Distribution.

Finally, Vivint Solar Inc (NYSE:VSLR), ended its last trade with 7.67% gain, and closed at $10.95.

Vivint Solar, declared that it will open new sales and installations offices in New Mexico and Nevada.

“We are excited to continue our growth as we enter into these new states. It enables us to continue offering affordable, renewable energy to more people,” said Chance Allred, Senior Vice President of Sales. “Our expansion into these states will also create new job opportunities for employees with diverse skill sets.”

Vivint Solar, Inc. provides distributed solar energy to residential customers in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Utah.
