  • Net income was $1.1 million, or $0.08 per diluted share.
  • Adjusted pro forma net income, a non-GAAP measure, raised 209.6% to $3.4 million, or $0.09 per fully exchanged and diluted share, contrast to $1.1 million, or $0.03 per fully exchanged and diluted share in the preceding year period.
  • Five system-wide Shack openings, counting three domestic company-operated Shacks and two international licensed Shacks.

Shake Shack Inc. owns, operates, and licenses Shake Shack restaurants (Shacks) in the United States, the District of Columbia, North America, Europe, and Asia. Shacks offers hamburgers, hot dogs, crinkle-cut fries, shakes, frozen custard, beer, and wine.

Shares of Fairchild Semiconductor Intl Inc (NASDAQ:FCS), declined -0.98% to $13.14, during its last trading session.

Finally, Unum Group (NYSE:UNM), ended its last trade with -3.43% loss, and closed at $33.49.

Unum Group declared that Thomas Kinser intends to retire from the company’s board of directors at the end of the year.

“Tom has been a valuable member of our board for more than a decade, and we will certainly miss his industry insights and guidance,” said Chairman Thomas R. Watjen. “We are very appreciative of his contributions and wish him the best in retirement.”

Kinser joined Unum’s board in 2004 and has been a member of the audit and human capital committees.

Kinser was president, chief executive officer and a director of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee from 1994 to 2003. From 1991 to 1994, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer of BlueCross BlueShield Association in Chicago. Preceding to that time, he held a number of executive positions with BlueCross BlueShield of Georgia, counting president and chief executive officer.

Unum Group, together with its auxiliaries, provides group and individual disability insurance products in the United States and the United Kingdom. The company operates through three segments: Unum US, Unum UK, and Colonial Life.
