Afternoon Trade News Analysis on: Perfect World (NASDAQ:PWRD), Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ:LSCC), Northern Trust (NASDAQ:NTRS), Penn National Gaming, (NASDAQ:PENN)

During Friday’s Afternoon trade, Shares of Perfect World Co., Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ:PWRD), lost -0.20% to $19.85.

Perfect World Co., Ltd. (PWRD), a leading online game developer and operator based in China, recently declared that it has called an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (the “EGM”), to be held on July 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. (Hong Kong time), at the 42nd Floor, Edinburgh Tower, The Landmark, 15 Queen’s Road, Central, Hong Kong, to consider and vote on, among other things, the proposal to authorize and approve the formerly declared agreement and plan of merger, dated April 26, 2015 (the “Merger Agreement”), among the Company, Perfect Peony Holding Company Limited (“Parent”), an exempted company with limited liability incorporated under the laws of the Cayman Islands and beneficially owned by Mr. Michael Yufeng Chi, the Company’s founder and chairman of the board of directors, and Perfect World Merger Company Limited (“Merger Sub”), a wholly owned partner of Parent, and the plan of merger required to be filed with the Registrar of Companies of the Cayman Islands, substantially in the form attached as Annex A to the Merger Agreement (the “Plan of Merger”) and the transactions contemplated thereby, counting the Merger.

Perfect World Co., Ltd., through its auxiliaries, engages in the research, development, operation, and licensing of online games in the People’s Republic of China, the United States, Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia, and South Korea. The company develops online games based on its proprietary game engines and development platforms.

Shares of Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ:LSCC), declined -0.80% to $6.20, during its Afternoon trading session.

Northern Trust Corporation (NASDAQ:NTRS), during its Friday’s Afternoon trading session gained 0.73% to $78.26.

Northern Trust Corporation (NTRS) has been selected to provide investment operations outsourcing services to RPMI Railpen, the in-house asset manager for the GB£21 billion (about US$32 billion) Railways Pension Scheme and a top 10 pension fund in the UK.

Under the terms of the agreement Northern Trust will provide trade matching, derivative processing and lifecycle administration, active collateral administration and book of record services.

Northern Trust Corporation, a financial holding company, provides asset servicing, fund administration, asset administration, fiduciary, and banking solutions for corporations, institutions, families, and individuals worldwide. It operates in two segments, Corporate & Institutional Services (C&IS) and Wealth Administration.

Finally, Penn National Gaming, Inc (NASDAQ:PENN), gained 0.88%, to $18.37.

Penn National Gaming, Inc (PENN) declared the appointment of Bob Sheldon as President of Las Vegas Operations effective July 6, 2015, subject to regulatory approvals. In this newly created position, Mr. Sheldon will oversee the operations of Tropicana Las Vegas following the completion of the Company’s acquisition of the iconic Strip property, which is predictable to occur later this year, in addition to the operations of the M Resort in Henderson. Mr. Sheldon will report directly to Jay Snowden, Penn National’s Chief Operating Officer.

Bob Sheldon presently serves as the General Manager of Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, which is jointly owned with International Speedway Corporation, and was responsible for the property’s successful opening in February 2012. A search for his replacement is underway.

Penn National Gaming, Inc. owns and operates gaming and pari-mutuel properties. It operates through East/Midwest, West, and Southern Plains segments. The company is involved in gaming and racing operations. As of December 31, 2014, it operated 26 facilities in 17 jurisdictions, counting Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, West Virginia, and Ontario. The company was formerly known as PNRC Corp. and changed its name to Penn National Gaming, Inc. in 1994. Penn National Gaming, Inc. was founded in 1972 and is based in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.
