Afternoon Trade Watch List - Apple Hospitality REIT Inc (NYSE:APLE), Entergy Corporation (NYSE:ETR), Hershey Co (NYSE:HSY)

On Tuesday, in the course of current trade, Shares of Apple Hospitality REIT Inc (NYSE:APLE), climbed 5.01%, and is now trading at $18.85.

Apple Hospitality REIT declared that it has closed on the formerly declared acquisition of a 245-room Courtyard by Marriott in San Diego, CA for a purchase price of $56 million, or about $229,000 per key.

“We are happy to add the recently renovated Courtyard San Diego Central to our portfolio of upscale hotels and improvement our presence in the dynamic San Diego market,” said Nelson Knight, Executive Vice President, and Chief Investment Officer for Apple Hospitality REIT. “San Diego’s economy is diversified across numerous leisure and corporate demand generators and we believe this hotel is well positioned for future growth.”

Apple Hospitality REIT, Inc. is a publicly owned real estate investment trust. It invests in the real estate markets of United States. The firm invests primarily in the lodging industry. It is focused on the acquisition and ownership of income-producing real estate.

During an Afternoon trade, Shares of Entergy Corporation (NYSE:ETR), climbed 1.11%, and is now trading at $62.22.

For its integral role that resulted in nearly $14.4 billion of capital investment and the creation of over 7,200 new jobs in its service territory, Entergy Corporation (ETR) has been named one of the nation’s Top 10 utilities in economic development for 2014 by Site Selection magazine.

Criteria used by Site Selection to choose the top 10 comprises the utility’s use of innovative programs and incentives for business and the utility’s own job-creating infrastructure and facility investment trends.

Entergy Corporation, together with its auxiliaries, engages in the electric power production and retail electric distribution operations in the United States. It operates in two segments, Utility and Entergy Wholesale Commodities.

Finally, Hershey Co (NYSE:HSY), gained 2.04% Tuesday.
