Afternoon’s News Buzz - Chesapeake Energy Corporation, (NYSE:CHK), American Airlines Group, (NASDAQ:AAL), Coca-Cola Enterprises, (NYSE:CCE), Energy Transfer Partners, (NYSE:ETP)

On Tuesday, in the course of current trade, Shares of Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK), gained 0.79%, and is now trading at $16.52.

Chesapeake Energy, declared that Frank Patterson will join the company as Executive Vice President – Exploration, Land and Subsurface Technology. Patterson replaces John Kapchinske, who recently stepped down from the company. He will report to Chesapeake’s Chief Executive Officer Doug Lawler.

Patterson served in various roles at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation from 2006 to 2015, most recently as Senior Vice President – International Exploration. In that role, he was responsible for leading business development and international new ventures, counting developing and executing exploration and appraisal plans for all of Anadarko’s international acreage positions. Patterson led the teams responsible for the discovery and appraisal of multiple large discoveries across Ghana, Mozambique, Brazil and Cote d’Ivoire.

Chesapeake Energy Corporation engages in the acquisition, exploration, and development of properties for the production of oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGL) from underground reservoirs in the United States.

During an Afternoon trade, Shares of American Airlines Group Inc. (NASDAQ:AAL), dipped -2.55%, and is now trading at $47.70.

For the fourth year in a row, the American Airlines AAdvantage program was named Program of the Year by the Freddie Awards, one of the most prestigious honors for loyalty programs in the travel industry. American also took home honors for Best Elite Program.

American accomplished its merger of the AAdvantage and former US Airways Dividend Miles loyalty programs to form the most rewarding loyalty program in the world, aligning the benefits for all members based on which airline they fly. By the end of this year, American will move to a single reservation system, effectively offering a single customer journey on a single airline.

American Airlines Group Inc., through its auxiliaries, operates in the airline industry. As of December 31, 2014, the company operated 983 mainline jets, in addition to 566 regional aircrafts through regional airline auxiliaries and third-party regional carriers. It serves 339 destinations in 54 countries.

Shares of Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. (NYSE:CCE), during its Tuesday’s current trading session fell -0.77%, and is now trading at $45.29.

Coca-Cola Enterprises, said that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John F. Brock and Chief Financial Officer Nik Jhangiani will present at the Goldman Sachs Global Staples Forum in New York City on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at 4:10 p.m. EDT.

Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. produces, distributes, and markets non-alcoholic beverages in Belgium, continental France, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden. The company offers nonalcoholic ready-to-drink beverages with carbonation, counting energy drinks, waters, and flavored waters; and nonalcoholic beverages without carbonation, such as waters and flavored waters, juice and juice drinks, teas, coffees, and sports drinks.

Finally, Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. (NYSE:ETP), gained 0.41% Tuesday.

Energy Transfer Partners, declared that its partner, Lone Star NGL LLC (“Lone Star”), will construct a fourth natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionation facility at Mont Belvieu, Texas. Fractionator IV, estimated to cost about $450 million, is planned to be operational by December 2016. The 120,000 barrel per day fractionator is fully subscribed by multiple long-term contracts and will provide off-take for the new 533-mile, 24- and 30-inch Lone Star Express Pipeline.

The Lone Star Express Pipeline, which is presently under construction, will transport about 475,000 barrels per day (expandable to 705,000 barrels per day) of NGLs from the Permian’s Delaware and Midland Basins to Mont Belvieu, Texas, to accommodate Lone Star’s contracted NGL transportation volumes. Phase I and phase II of the pipeline remain on plan for completion in the second quarter of 2016 and the fourth quarter of 2016, respectively.

Additionally, Lone Star’s third Mont Belvieu fractionation facility, which is also presently under construction, remains on plan for completion in January 2016, and Lone Star continues to evaluate further fractionation expansion opportunities at Mont Belvieu and in other areas of the country.

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. engages in the natural gas midstream, and intrastate transportation and storage businesses in the United States. The company’s Intrastate Transportation and Storage segment transports natural gas from various natural gas producing areas, in addition to through its ET fuel system and HPL system.
