Swiss Coach Marcel Koller rules out 12 players from Al Ahly’s list to play Wydad
Swiss coach Marcel Koller, coach of the Al Ahly club’s first football team, has ruled out 12 players from the Red Genies’ list to play Moroccan Wydad Casablanca in the second leg of the final round of the African Champions League.
The Red Genie was able to defeat Moroccan Wydad Casablanca 2–1. The first goal was scored by Percy Thau, the second by Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba and the Moroccan team scored against Bora in the first leg of the final round of the African Champions League.
12 players not included in the Al-Ahli roster to play Wydad
Absent from the Al-Ahly club for technical reasons: Hamza Alaa, Ayman Ashraf, Shadi Hussein, Muhammad Fakhri, Muhammad Ashraf, Karim Al-Dabis, Bruno Savio, Abdel-Rahman Rashdan and Mido Nabil, and Akram Tawfik, Karim Fouad and Raafat Khalil is injured.
The composition of the red team is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed El-Shennawy, Mustafa Schubert, Ali Lotfi.
Defensive line: Ali Maalul, Muhammad Abdel Moneim, Mahmoud Metwalli, Yasser Ibrahim, Muhammad Khani, Khaled Abdel Fattah, Rami Rabia.
Midfield: Hamdi Fathi, Aliu Diang, Maravan Attia, Amr Al Suliya, Ahmed Koka, Percy Taw, Hussein Al Shahat, Ahmed Qandousi, Ahmed Abdel-Kader, Mohamed Magdi Afsha, Christo, Taher Mohamed Taher.
Attack line: Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba, Mohamed Sharif.
The red team will face their colleague, Widad, at 10:00 sharp next Sunday at the Mohammed V complex stadium in the Moroccan city of Casablanca.
