Saudi club Al-Hilal attempted to include Argentinian Lionel Messi in the summer of 2023, offering a fictitious salary. However, Messi surprised everyone by favoring and transferring to American club Inter Miami. This setback has prompted Al-Hilal to look for other options to make up for the loss.
Al-Hilal Prepares to Offer Neymar Jr. a Higher Salary than Ronaldo
According to CBS, Al-Hilal is preparing to make an offer to Brazilian Neymar Jr., a Paris Saint-Germain player. Neymar currently has a contract with the Parisian club that is being extended until the summer of 2025. Italian journalist Niccolò Shira has revealed that Al-Hilal’s administration has earmarked €250m for Neymar’s salary if he joins the team.
Al-Hilal aims to include Neymar for three seasons with a salary of €250 million per season, which is more than Cristiano Ronaldo earns with Al Nasr. Ronaldo’s salary in the world is €200 million per season.
Al-Hilal Looks to Make a Comeback
After the loss of the Saudi League title to Roshen, Al-Hilal is gearing up to strike a hot deal to include Neymar in next season’s preparation. The club hopes that signing Neymar will help them make a comeback and regain their position as one of the top clubs in the league.
