On Wednesday, in the course of current trade, Shares of BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY), dropped -1.19%, and is now trading at $6.66.

BlackBerry Limited, unveiled updates to WatchDox by BlackBerry, counting a new application for BlackBerry 10 devices and additional multi-OS integration.

WatchDox by BlackBerry is a secure enterprise file sharing and mobile content administration solution. It enhances productivity and partnership by enabling users to connect to files from any PC, tablet or smartphone. Organizations remain in full control of corporate content, even after files are downloaded and shared with third parties. WatchDox by BlackBerry was recently named a “Visionary” in the Gartner “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing”1 for the second successive year.

The new WatchDox by BlackBerry application for BlackBerry 10 smartphones, counting the BlackBerry Classic and BlackBerry Passport, provides secure anytime online access to content, with synchronization across mobile, desktop and web environments. Users have the ability to browse, access, search and view Microsoft Office, PDF and image files from Windows File Share and Microsoft SharePoint. They can securely share links to content with colleagues in addition to third party collaborators, enhancing productivity without putting corporate data at risk.

WatchDox by BlackBerry has also expanded support to devices with Samsung KNOX™, Android for Work™ and Secure Work Space for iOS® and Android™. By adding workspace functionality, the WatchDox by BlackBerry app is completely separate from personal content, creating another layer of security and privacy. The update also integrates mobile productivity tools for users to access, create, edit, annotate, search, stream and share files, in addition to performance enhancements that make it easier for users to work with large files.

Additionally, WatchDox by BlackBerry now comprises Enterprise Identity by BlackBerry integration, allowing users to access the app from all entry points, counting mobile devices, PCs and the web, with seamless single sign-on authentication.

During an Afternoon trade, Shares of Alere Inc (NYSE:ALR), dipped -1.11%, and is now trading at $49.98.

Alere Inc., declared a grant of 2.5 million South African Rand to support the work of the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation (DTHF), a Cape Town-based organization under the patronage of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu. The Foundation is a leader in HIV and TB research; community development and support are integral to its research endeavors. The grant will support the Foundation’s Tutu Teen Truck project and expand the reach of infectious, sexual and reproductive services for youth and adolescents from communities around Cape Town.

The Tutu Teen Truck is the second vehicle in the Tutu Tester mobile services fleet. It is a self-sufficient mobile healthcare unit equipped with two counseling rooms and a dispensing cubicle. The vehicle will be used to provide counseling and healthcare services to youth around Cape Town’s under-served communities. In addition to HIV, TB and STI screening, a wellness package known as HCT PLUS will comprise diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cervical, breast and testicular cancer screening. Comprehensive health advice will also be offered and referral to care and treatment when necessary.

“South Africa is estimated to have more people infected with HIV than any other county, and it has one of the highest incidences of tuberculosis worldwide,” said Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, Patron of the HIV Foundation. “I commend Alere for responding to this challenge through their support for the Tutu Teen Truck project. The Tutu Teen Truck will be able to reach you in under-serviced areas, providing easy access to screening for a variety of infectious and chronic diseases and will move us closer to achieving the UNAIDS aim to eliminate HIV by 2030.”

Alere Inc. provides point-of-care diagnostics and services for infectious disease, cardiometabolic disease, and toxicology in the United States and internationally. The company operates through Professional Diagnostics and Consumer Diagnostics segments.

Finally, National Grid plc (ADR) (NYSE:NGG), lost -1.06% Wednesday.

Dominion Midstream Partners declared that it has reached agreements with associates of National Grid plc and New Jersey Resources Corporation to acquire their ownership interests in Iroquois Gas Transmission System, L.P., in exchange for the issuance of about 8.6 million common units in Dominion Midstream having an agreed-upon value of about $286.5 million. As part of the agreements, National Grid and New Jersey Resources would contribute their combined 25.93 percent ownership interests in Iroquois to Dominion Midstream in exchange for newly issued Dominion Midstream common units. Dominion Midstream has no plans to acquire the ownership interest in Iroquois presently held by Dominion Gas Holdings, LLC, a wholly owned partner of Dominion Resources, Inc. (NYSE:D).

Under these agreements, about 6.8 million units (representing about $225.4 million at the agreed-upon unit price) would be issued to National Grid, and about 1.8 million units (representing about $61.1 million at the agreed-upon unit price) would be issued to New Jersey Resources. National Grid and New Jersey Resources have agreed to certain transfer restrictions applicable to such units counting, with certain exceptions, a general one-year lockup period, and would be granted certain registration rights and piggyback registration rights with respect to future Dominion Midstream equity offerings. No public market issuance of units is planned in connection with these transactions.

National Grid plc transmits and distributes electricity and gas. The company operates through UK Electricity Transmission, UK Gas Transmission, UK Gas Distribution, and US Regulated segments.
