Italian Carlo Ancelotti Criticizes Rodrigo Gossa after Real Madrid’s Victory
An interesting comment by Ancelotti after Real Madrid’s victory over Celta Vigo
Italian Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid’s first football team, attacked Brazilian star Rodrigo Gossa.
The Merengue team met their colleague Celta Vigo at the Palaidos stadium, the latter’s stronghold, in the third round of the 2023-2024 Spanish Premier League championship.
Real Madrid won a 1-0 victory at the expense of the home team, scored by English star Jude Bellingham in the 81st minute of the match.
Thus, Los Blancos topped the La Liga standings with 9 points, while Celta Vigo froze in 16th place with one point.
During the match, Real received a penalty, which Rodrigo took, but he missed it, which caused the anger of the coach.
Ancelotti spoke at the post-match press conference, saying “Billingham and his goals? It’s not his most important quality, but he’s good at his job, he moves well with the ball, he’s smart, he comes at the right time, his ability when he’s not under guard is amazing.
And the coach of the royal team continued: “Cancel the Celta goal? The cancellation of the goal was fair.”
He added, “Kiba? He deserves to play, the goalkeeper has improved thanks to his presence with us, and even in two colors.
And he continued: “The reason for my anger after Rodrigo missed a penalty? There is no freedom in choosing who should take the penalty. I don’t know what happened on the pitch because I said Modric should take it upon himself.”
Trainer completed Los Blancos “There was a misunderstanding at the end. I told Valverde, but he didn’t have time to tell Modric that he should take the kick.”
