Comcast Cable, declared that Michael Parker has been named Senior Vice President of the company’s Western New England Region, which is based in Berlin, Connecticut. In this role, Parker is the top executive responsible for operations, performance and customer experience for the region, which employs more than 1,700 people and encompasses 300 communities in Connecticut, western Massachusetts, Vermont, western New Hampshire and New York.

He was also just named one of the “Most Influential Minorities” in the cable industry by Cablefax: The Magazine.

“I am confident that Michael’s strong leadership and dedication, combined with his passion for fostering a culture focused on delivering superb service, make him the natural choice to lead the Western New England Region,” said Kevin Casey, President of Comcast’s Northeast Division.

At the end of Thursday’s trade, Shares of Incyte Corporation (NASDAQ:INCY), gained 6.89% to $117.93.

NASDAQ, declared that Incyte Corporation (INCY), will become a component of the NASDAQ-100 Index (NDX) and the NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index (NDXE) preceding to market open on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Incyte Corporation will replace Altera Corporation (ALTR).

Incyte Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company, focuses on the discovery, development, and commercialization of proprietary therapeutics primarily for oncology. It offers JAKAFI, an oral janus associated kinase (JAK) inhibitor for the treatment of patients with intermediate or high-risk myelofibrosis (MF), counting primary MF, post-polycythemia vera MF, and post-essential thrombocythemia MF.

Finally, Yelp Inc (NYSE:YELP), ended its last trade with -3.74% loss, and closed at $20.85.

Yelp Inc., declared the election of current board member, Diane Irvine, to the position of non-executive board chairperson, effective right away. Irvine takes over from Max Levchin, who recently stepped down from Yelp’s and other boards to dedicate more time to the company he founded and leads.
