Barcelona set to extend Xavi’s contract

According to the Spanish press, FC Barcelona is preparing a big surprise for coach Xavi Hernandez in the coming period.

On the other hand, Barca managed to beat Osasuna last Sunday in the fourth round of the Spanish Championship, raise their score to 10 points and climb to third place in the La Liga standings before the international stop.

According to Spanish press Marca, Barça are currently working on extending Xavi’s contract as manager until 2026.

She indicated that the official announcement would be in the coming days, after the completion of all procedures, and this was agreed between Xavi and the management of Blaugrana on all personal terms.

It is worth noting that Xavi took over the task of preparing Barca in November 2020, replacing the Dutchman Ronald Koeman in this post, and last season he managed to win the La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup.
