On Friday, Seadrill Ltd (NYSE:SDRL)’s shares declined -7.90% to $6.88.
Seadrill Limited has notified Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd. (“the Shipyard”) that it has exercised its right to cancel the contract for the construction of the West Mira, a sixth generation ultra-deepwater harsh environment semisubmersible drilling unit (“Wst Mira” or “the Unit”).
The Unit was ordered during the second quarter of 2012 and the delivery date stated in the construction contract was by December 31, 2014. Due to the Shipyard`s inability to deliver the Unit within the timeframe required under the contract, the Company has exercised its cancellation rights.
Under the contract terms, Seadrill has the ability to recoup the $168 million in pre-delivery instalments to the Shipyard, plus accrued interest.

UnitedHealthcare presented a $50,000 grant to Health Care for the Homeless recently as part of an initiative aimed at supporting community-based solutions that integrate social and health care services for low-income residents.
Mike Jones, CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Maryland, presented the grant to Health Care for the Homeless at the agency’s headquarters clinic downtown. Guests and community leaders, counting supportive-housing clients attended the event to see first-hand the program’s impact in the community through presentations and a facility tour.
The funding will be used to collect data on supportive-housing clients, counting hospitalization and incarceration rates, together with clients’ engagement with medical, mental health and addiction treatment plans. These metrics will be used to assist inform future program direction and improvements. The program presents a unique opportunity to track the effect of supportive-housing care on quality of life.

Xerox Printed Memory is a highly secure, printed label containing up to 36 bits of rewritable memory which can store up to 68 billion points of data. The labels, for example, can be used to determine if a product is genuine and to track how it’s been handled during distribution.
