“This new videos section assists people discover, watch and share videos on Facebook that are relevant to them,” said Will Cathcart, vice president of product administration in a blog post.
The changes are designed to assist Facebook compete for more of the roughly $200 billion companies now spend annually on television ads, according to ZenithOptimedia. The research firm projects that TV ads accounted for 39% of global ad spending last year.
