On Thursday, Shares of Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX), gained 1.96% to $46.27.

Xilinx, declared second quarter fiscal 2016 sales of $528 million, down 4% from the preceding quarter and down 13% from the same quarter of the preceding fiscal year. Second quarter fiscal 2016 gross margin was 70% and net income was $127 million, or $0.48 per diluted share.

The Xilinx Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.31 per outstanding share of common stock, payable on November 24, 2015 to all stockholders of record at the close of business on November 5, 2015.

Xilinx, Inc. designs and develops programmable devices and associated technologies worldwide. Its programmable devices comprise integrated circuits (ICs) in the form of programmable logic devices (PLDs), such as programmable system on chips, and three dimensional ICs; software design tools to program the PLDs; targeted reference designs; printed circuit boards; and intellectual property (IP), which comprises of Xilinx and various third-party verification and IP cores.

Finally, Community Health Systems (NYSE:CYH), ended its last trade with -2.42% loss, and closed at $40.67.

Community Health Systems, declared that auxiliaries of the Company have executed a definitive agreement to sell substantially all of the assets of 72-bed Bartow Regional Medical Center in Bartow, Florida, together with related outpatient services, to auxiliaries of BayCare Health System, Inc. The divestiture is predictable to close by the end of 2015, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

The Company does not expect the divestiture to have a meaningful impact on financial operations. Following the divestiture of Bartow Regional Medical Center and the recently declared divestiture of Lehigh Regional Medical Center, Community Health Systems associates will continue to operate 24 hospitals in Florida.

Community Health Systems, Inc., together with its auxiliaries, provides general and specialized hospital healthcare services to patients in the United States. The company operates general acute care hospitals that offer a range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services, such as general acute care, emergency room, general and specialty surgery, critical care, internal medicine, obstetrics, diagnostic, psychiatric, and rehabilitation services, in addition to skilled nursing and home care services based on individual community needs.
