M&T Bank Corporation, declared that it has received approval from the New York State Department of Financial Services to complete the merger of M&T Bank with Hudson City Savings Bank as part of its acquisition of Hudson City Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: HCBK).

The transaction, which has already been approved by the Federal Reserve and shareholders of both companies, is predictable to be accomplished on or about November 1, 2015 pending the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

Election materials were mailed on September 30, 2015 to holders of record of Hudson City common stock at the close of business on September 21, 2015. Shareholders of Hudson City have until 5:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on Friday, October 30, 2015 to elect the form of consideration they wish to receive in the transaction.

Hudson City Bancorp, Inc. operates as the holding company of Hudson City Savings Bank that provides various banking products and services in the United States. Its deposit products comprise passbook and statement savings accounts, interest-bearing transaction accounts, checking accounts, money market accounts, and time deposits, in addition to IRA accounts and qualified retirement plans.

Shares of Masco Corp (NYSE:MAS), inclined 0.88% to $26.38, during its last trading session.

Masco Corporation (MAS) declared that it will hold a conference call regarding 2015 third quarter results on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. ET.

The 2015 third quarter results and supplemental material, counting a presentation in PDF format, will be distributed at 7:00 a.m. ET on October 27, 2015 and will be available on the Company’s website at www.masco.com.

Masco Corporation manufactures, distributes, and installs home improvement and building products worldwide. Host Hotels & Resorts, declared that Host Hotels & Resorts, L.P., for whom the Company acts as sole general partner, has priced its offering of $400 million aggregate principal amount of 4.5% Senior Notes due 2026 (the “Notes”). The Offering is predictable to close on October 14, 2015, subject to the satisfaction or waiver of customary closing conditions.

The net proceeds of the Offering of about $395 million, after deducting the underwriting discount, fees and expenses, together with cash on hand and a draw on Host L.P.’s new credit facility term loan, will be used to redeem all of Host L.P.’s $500 million aggregate principal amount of 6% Series V Senior Notes due 2020.

Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. are the joint book-running managers for the Offering.
