On Thursday, Shares of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), gained 2.94% to $112.92.

Apple declared the company is partnering with PayAnywhere for a new mobile NFC card reader that will be able to attach to iOS devices and support Apple Pay transactions in any retail location, in addition to traditional credit card support (via CNBC). The reader will be available exclusively in Apple Stores starting in September, with the chance for merchants signing up with a new PayAnywhere account to get the first $5,000 in Apple Pay transaction fees free.

Apple Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets mobile communication and media devices, personal computers, watches, and portable digital music players worldwide. The company also sells related software, services, accessories, networking solutions, and third-party digital content and applications.

Shares of Denbury Resources Inc. (NYSE:DNR), inclined 15.16% to $3.95, during its last trading session, as oil rocketed more than 10 percent higher on Thursday, posting its biggest one-day rally in over six years as recovering equity markets and news of diminished crude supplies set off a short-covering scramble by bearish traders, according to Reuters.

Front month Brent crude LCOc1 for October more than reversed a week’s worth of losses, rising $4.42 to settle at $47.56 a barrel, marking a 10.25 percent rise. Gains accelerated toward the close, locking in the biggest one-day jump since late 2008, when prices were bouncing back after the financial crisis. Denbury Resources Inc. operates as an independent oil and natural gas company in the United States. The company primarily focuses on improved oil recovery utilizing carbon dioxide.

Finally, Aqua America Inc. (NYSE:WTR), ended its last trade with 1.71% gain, and closed at $25.59.

Aqua Pennsylvania has promoted Curt Steffy to vice president, production from his previous position as director, operations. In his new role, Steffy will be responsible for the eight surface water plants in southeastern Pennsylvania and more than 80 well facilities, which collectively produce more than 100 million gallons of water daily, and more than 80 booster (pump) stations that assist distribute that water throughout the company’s 4,500-mile distribution system. His responsibilities comprise administration of the treatment, mechanical-electrical and facilities departments. Steffy and his team will also support the operations of three other surface water treatment plants and more than 100 well facilities within the Greater Pennsylvania divisions in the northeastern, central and western parts of the state.

Steffy, a graduate of Millersville State College with a B.S. in environmental biology, began his career at Aqua in 1982 as a microbiology technician, quickly becoming a microbiologist in Aqua’s Pennsylvania-state-certified lab. He transferred to operations in 1987 as a systems supervisor in the treatment department and three years later was promoted to assistant superintendent of treatment and superintendent of treatment before ongoing through the ranks to become assistant manager of treatment in 1998.

Aqua America, Inc., through its auxiliaries, operates regulated utilities that provide water or wastewater services in the United States. It offers liquid waste hauling and disposal, and water and wastewater services through operating and maintenance contracts with municipal authorities and other parties.
