Royal Bank of Canada has hired Wendy Gorman, one of Bank of America Corp.’s senior risk executives, according to WSJ.
Ms. Gorman, who joined Bank of America in 1996, was most recently a managing director who in part focused on ensuring its global leveraged finance unit was complying with U.S. regulatory guidance meant to deter banks from financing buyouts and other transactions with high levels of debt.
She will join RBC in New York in September as a senior vice president, reporting to Chief Risk Officer Mark Hughes, according to an RBC spokeswoman. WSJ Reports.

Shares of Mondelez International, Inc. (NASDAQ:MDLZ), inclined 0.27% to $40.47, during its last trading session, after the packaged food company was upgraded to “outperform” from “market perform” by analysts at BMO Capital.
The firm issued a $47 price target, saying the company is working through a difficult operating environment and outperforming its peers.
BMO analysts believe the company can expand margins and continue to grow in emerging markets.
Mondelez International, Inc., through its auxiliaries, manufactures and markets snack food and beverage products worldwide. The company offers biscuits, counting cookies, crackers, and salted snacks; chocolates, and gums and candies; powdered beverages and coffee; and cheese and grocery products.
Finally, Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL), ended its last trade with -0.31% loss, and closed at $45.48, as oil prices were driven into the red after Saudi Arabia said it is prepared to raise its oil output to new record highs. The Middle Eastern country is the world’s largest oil exporter.
Saudi Arabia is said to be in discussions with Indian buyers to supply more crude, which means the exporter could surpass its 10.3 million barrels produced per day record reached in May, Reuters Reports.
