Pre-Market News Report on: Rovi (NASDAQ:ROVI), YRC Worldwide (NASDAQ:YRCW), Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT), Liberty Global plc - Class A Ordinary Shres(NASDAQ:LBTYA)

On Monday, Rovi Corporation (NASDAQ:ROVI)’s shares inclined 4.91% to $11.43.

Rovi Corporation (ROVI) declared that Rovi prevailed in an infringement proceeding in Italy. The proceeding was initiated by Card Mania and Italvideo, two consumer electronics companies, alleging that the Italian portions of two European Rovi patents (EP 0969662 and EP 1377049) are invalid and not infringed. Rovi counterclaimed that the patents are valid and infringed.

In May 2015, the Court of Turin in Italy issued its decision that Rovi is entitled to a total combined judgment of about $1,000,000. The Court of Turin had formerly found the asserted patents valid and infringed by Card Mania and Italvideo.

Rovi Corporation provides integrated solutions for the discovery and personalization of digital entertainment to service providers and consumer electronics (CE) industry worldwide. The company offers interactive program guides (IPGs), an interactive listing of television or video program information that enables viewers to navigate through, sort, select, and plan video programming for viewing and recording. It markets IPGs to service providers under i-Guide and Passport brands; and CE industry under the G-GUIDE and HTML Guide brands.

YRC Worldwide Inc (NASDAQ:YRCW)’s shares gained 1.22% to $19.96.

Holland declared recently that professional drivers and safety champions, Scott Donaldson and Russ Simpson have won the division titles at their state truck driving competitions and have qualified to compete at the 2015 National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC). They will compete in the annual competition held August 11-15 at the America’s Center Convention Complex & Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo.

Scott Donaldson took first place in the 4-Axle category at the Georgia competition held May 7-9 in Buford, Ga. Scott was part of the winning Holland team that was presented with the Clifford Williams Award for Large Team. American Trucking Associations (ATA) Road Team Captain Herschel Evans (second, Sleeper) and Rickey Tate (second, Straight Truck) were also on the Holland winning team.

At the end of Monday’s trade, Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT)‘s shares surged 0.81% to $210.78.

The Lockheed Martin (LMT) Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) Team continues to produce company-funded Production Representative Vehicles (PRVs) at its Camden, Arkansas, production facility.

The PRVs are being assembled to reduce technical risk, optimize the advanced production processes at the Camden assembly plant, and to exercise and prepare the supply chain.

Liberty Global plc - Class A Ordinary Shares (LBTYA,) declared that it accomplished its formerly declared distribution of the tracking stock for its operations in Latin America and the Caribbean (the “LiLAC Group”) to shareholders. These ordinary shares will start regular-way trading on July 2, 2015, at 09:30 a.m. EDT. The LiLAC Class A (LILA) and Class C (LILAK) ordinary shares will trade on NASDAQ, and the LiLAC Class B (LILAB) ordinary shares will trade on OTC Link. The Liberty Global Class A, Class B and Class C ordinary shares will continue to trade on NASDAQ under the symbols LBTYA, LBTYB and LBTYK, respectively.
