Pre-Market Stocks Recap: Delta Air Lines, (NYSE:DAL), AbbVie, (NYSE:ABBV), Marvell Technology Group, (NASDAQ:MRVL)

On Monday, Shares of Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL), lost -5.01% to $40.75.

Delta Air Lines, is hoping to strengthen partnerships with carriers in South Korea, Mexico and Brazil, and it has been approached about investing in Japan’s bankrupt Skymark Airlines, Delta’s president Ed Bastian told reporters Monday, according to Reuters.

The comments, made on the sidelines of the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) annual meeting, reflect Delta’s focus on streamlining flight service through cross-country partnerships and ventures. Reuters Reports.

Bastian declined to comment on the status of the Skymark investment talks and what their outcome might be. Aircraft leasing firm Intrepid Aviation Ltd, the biggest creditor of Skymark Airlines, is seeking another sponsor for the failed budget carrier instead of ANA Holdings Inc, a Japanese rival airline bidding to take part in the restructuring.

Delta is also interested in growing its relationship with long-time partner Korean Air Lines Co Ltd after their ties were weakened by Delta’s acquisition of Northwest Airlines, which already had extensive Asian routes and competed with KAL, Bastian said. Reuters added.

Shares of AbbVie Inc. (NYSE:ABBV), inclined 0.58% to $67.79, during its last trading session.

AbbVie, launched its second annual Week of Possibilities volunteer program, with 3,100 employees globally volunteering more than 14,000 service hours to transform schools and communities where AbbVie employees live and work.

For 2015, the program comprises more than 39 countries and more than 55 separate hands-on service projects, with a special emphasis on transforming education in ways that will improve the lives of those in underserved populations.

AbbVie launched Week of Possibilities in 2014 as a local initiative in which employees volunteered more than 6,800 hours to renovate schools and other learning facilities and provide educational materials to students in North Chicago, Ill., and Worcester, Mass. This year, the program has been expanded to comprise projects in Australia, Brazil, China, Italy, Japan, Turkey, Russia and 31 other countries.

For 2015, AbbVie and the AbbVie Foundation have committed more than $1.3 million to Week of Possibility projects, and the company has donated the time of all its employee volunteers to assist carry out the projects.
