Pre-Market Stocks Recap: Omnicare, (NYSE:OCR), Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL), AerCap Holdings N.V.(NYSE:AER), NOW (NYSE:DNOW)

On Friday, Omnicare, Inc. (NYSE:OCR)’s shares inclined 0.01% to $97.92.

Omnicare, Inc. (OCR) stated financial results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2015.

Second-Quarter Highlights:

  • Net sales enhance of 7.6% to $1.7 billion.
  • Adjusted operating income from ongoing operations enhance of 11.4% to $166 million.
  • Adjusted cash earnings per diluted share from ongoing operations 12.1% higher to $1.02 (equivalent to $1.04 on an unaffected share price basis); GAAP earnings per diluted share of $0.32.
  • Cash flows from ongoing operations of $94 million.

Second-Quarter Results

Financial results from ongoing operations for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, as contrast with the same preceding-year period, were as follows:

  • Net sales were $1,733 million as compared to $1,611 million.
  • Gross profit was $354 million as contrast with $354 million.
  • GAAP earnings per diluted share was $0.32 as compared to $0.58.
  • Adjusted cash earnings per diluted share was $1.02 (equivalent to $1.04 on an unaffected share price basis) as compared to $0.91.
  • Adjusted EBITDA was $196 million as compared to $176 million.

Contingent cash interest, which Omnicare has determined to be about $0.145 per $50 stated liquidation amount of Trust PIERS for the current interest period, will be payable to holders of the Trust PIERS as of the record date of September 14, 2015. The payment of contingent cash interest is predictable to be made on September 15, 2015. Omnicare, Inc. operates as a healthcare services company that specializes in the administration of pharmaceutical care in the United States. The company’s Long-Term Care Group segment offers pharmaceuticals, and related pharmacy and ancillary services to long-term care facilities; and chronic care facilities and other settings.

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s shares gained 0.42% to $689.37.

Google Inc (GOOGL)’s life sciences group has created a health-tracking wristband that could be used in clinical trials and drug tests, giving researchers or physicians minute-by-minute data on how patients are faring.

The experimental device, developed within the company’s Google X research division, can measure pulse, heart rhythm and skin temperature, and also environmental information like light exposure and noise levels. It won’t be marketed as a consumer device, said Andy Conrad, head of the life sciences team at Google.

Google offers health-monitoring smartwatch features in its Android Wear software platform for consumers, through partners such as LG Electronics Inc. Apple Inc. and others also have smartwatches and devices with health features. Yet most existing consumer devices aren’t rigorous enough for research, said Conrad.

At the end of Friday’s trade, AerCap Holdings N.V. (NYSE:AER)‘s shares surged 0.51% to $47.27.
