Pre-Market Stocks Roundup: Paychex, Inc. (NASDAQ:PAYX), Shopify Inc (NYSE:SHOP, Delphi Automotive PLC (NYSE:DLPH), Apollo Education Group Inc (NASDAQ:APOL)

On Monday, Shares of Paychex, Inc. (NASDAQ:PAYX), lost -1.05% to $47.49.

The Paychex | IHS Small Business Jobs Index reduced 0.17 percent in May, bringing the national index to 100.65. Year over year the national index declined 0.49 percent. Moderating from last month, the drop in the national index brought the three-month growth rate to -0.18 percent. The East North Central region surpassed the West North Central to become the top-ranked regional index. Indiana regained the lead among states tracked by the index with the best one-month and 12-month growth rates. Among the metro areas measured by the index, Dallas continued to lead, while Washington, D.C. showed the most improvement.

“The Paychex | IHS Small Business Index dropped 0.17 percent in May, reverting to its January 2015 level. While the national index is well below the level set throughout most of 2014, small businesses are expanding to be sure, but at a rate compriseent with the growth seen in 2012,” said James Diffley, chief regional economist at IHS.

Shares of Shopify Inc (NYSE:SHOP, inclined 5.56% to $ 35.50, during its last trading session.

Shopify, launched a new offering with Pinterest that allows Shopify merchants to sell their products directly on Pinterest using Buyable Pins. Shopify partnered with Pinterest for the launch of Buyable Pins, and is the first commerce platform to offer Buyable Pins to small and medium sized businesses. Shopify’s 165,000 merchants can start using this sales channel.

“Buyable Pins can turn Pinterest from a great source of website traffic into a great source of sales,” said Satish Kanwar, Director of Product, Shopify. “Our new Pinterest sales channel will give Shopify merchants the opportunity to be among the first to sell using Buyable Pins. These crafters, makers, and unique brands sell the kind of products that Pinterest users love.”

At the end of Monday’s trade, Shares of Delphi Automotive PLC (NYSE:DLPH), lost - 0.30% to $ 87.31.

Delphi Automotive PLC (NYSE:DLPH), declared that Joseph S. Cantie has joined its board of directors effective June 1.

Cantie is presently the executive vice president and chief financial officer of ZF TRW, a division of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, a global automobile supplier. He served in these roles for TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. since April 2004, and has held various other senior financial administration roles at TRW since joining the company in 1999. Cantie has also held administration roles at LucasVarity and KPMG Peat Marwick.

Delphi Automotive PLC, together with its auxiliaries, manufacturers vehicle components; and provides electrical and electronic, powertrain, safety, and thermal technology solutions to the automotive and commercial vehicle markets worldwide. The company operates through four segments: Electrical/Electronic Architecture, Powertrain Systems, Electronics and Safety, and Thermal Systems.

Finally, Apollo Education Group Inc (NASDAQ:APOL), ended its last trade with -3.02% loss, and close at $ 16.21.
