Sizzling News Alert: Gilead Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:GILD), Dollar General Corp.(NYSE:DG), Stratasys, Ltd. (NASDAQ:SSYS), UDR, Inc. (NYSE:UDR),

For a brief moment, and mostly on Twitter, Gilead Sciences, was buying Achillion Pharmaceuticals.

The speculation of another hepatitis C-related acquisition took off Monday afternoon, sparked by a rumor that Gilead executives canceled a planned Tuesday presentation at a health care investor conference. Earlier Monday, Achillion Pharmaceuticals cancelled its presentation at the same investor conference.

Gilead Sciences, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, discovers, develops, and commercializes medicines in areas of unmet medical nee in North America, South America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific. The company’s products comprise Stribild, Complera/Eviplera, Atripla, Truvada, Viread, Emtriva, Tybost, and Vitekta for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection in adults; and Harvoni, Sovaldi, Viread, and Hepsera products for the treatment of liver disease.

Shares of Dollar General Corp.(NYSE:DG), declined -0.89% to $73.83, during its last trading session.

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation awarded more than $5.8 million in grants to support adult, family and summer literacy programs to about 720 schools, nonprofits and literacy organizations across the 43 states Dollar General (DG) serves.

On the TED2015 stage in Vancouver, Oxman unveiled Mushtari, an artwork 3D printed by Stratasys, and the world’s first wearable combining multi-material additive manufacturing and synthetic biology.

Stratasys Ltd. provides additive manufacturing (AM) solutions for the creation of parts used in the processes of designing and manufacturing products; and for the direct manufacture of end parts.

Finally, UDR, Inc. (NYSE:UDR), ended its last trade with -0.48% loss, and closed at $32.93.

UDR, Inc. (NYSE:UDR), declared the closing of the formerly revealed west coast development joint venture with an initial investment of $136 million comprising of five under construction communities totaling 1,533 homes. The Company is in negotiation to add a sixth asset to the joint venture. The transaction is right away accretive to 2015 FFO.
