Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, stated financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2015. Loss from operations for the three and six months ended June 30, 2015 was $10.6 million and $19.4 million, respectively. As of June 30, 2015, cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities totaled $39.6 million.

“We remain committed to moving vosaroxin forward as an important new therapy for patients with AML, and to realizing the value of this product candidate for all our constituents,” said Daniel Swisher, Chief Executive Officer of Sunesis. “As part of this effort, we are moving forward rapidly toward the filing of a marketing authorization application in Europe and are carefully evaluating and refining our plans to gain marketing approval in the U.S. As we continue to advance these strategies and work toward key milestones with our kinase inhibitor pipeline, we are also evaluating and precedingitizing our spending to ensure our ability to realize the value of our portfolio.”

Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, focuses on the development and commercialization of oncology therapeutics for the treatment of solid and hematologic cancers.

Finally, DTE Energy Co (NYSE:DTE), gained 0.11% Thursday.

DTE Energy, stated second quarter 2015 earnings of $109 million, or $0.61 per diluted share, contrast with $124 million, or $0.70 per diluted share, in 2014.

Operating earnings for the second quarter 2015 were $137 million, or $0.76 per diluted share, contrast with second quarter 2014 operating earnings of $128 million, or $0.73 per diluted share. Operating earnings exclude non-recurring items, certain mark-to-market adjustments and suspended operations. Reconciliations of stated earnings to operating earnings are comprised of at the end of this news release.

DTE Energy Company operates in the utility operations. The company’s Electric segment engages in the generation, purchase, distribution, and sale of electricity to about 2.1 million residential, commercial, and industrial customers in southeastern Michigan.
