Stock’s Buzzers: Scorpio Bulkers, (NYSE:SALT), Corning, (NYSE:GLW), Union Pacific Corporation, (NYSE:UNP)

On Thursday, Shares of Scorpio Bulkers Inc. (NYSE:SALT), lost -0.62% to $1.59.

Scorpio Bulkers, declared that it intends to offer, issue and sell to the public up to $200 million of its common stock, par value $0.01 per share, through an underwritten public offering (the “Offering”). All or substantially all of the net proceeds of the Offering are predictable to be used to fund installment payments due under the Company’s New-building Program. Any net proceeds of the Offering not used for installment payments are predictable to be used for general corporate purposes and working capital. As part of this offering, the underwriters have reserved for sale up to $15 million of Common Shares to Scorpio Services Holdings Limited and certain executive officers of the Company at the public offering price.

The Company also intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional $30 million of Common Shares.

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Clarksons Platou Securities AS are acting as joint book-runners, Evercore ISI and Stifel are acting as co-lead managers and ABN AMRO, Credit Agricole CIB and Clarksons Platou Securities Inc. are acting as co-managers in this offering.

Scorpio Bulkers Inc., together with its auxiliaries, engages in the marine transportation of dry bulk commodities. Its fleet transports a range of major and minor bulk commodities, counting ores, coal, grains, and fertilizers along worldwide shipping routes.

Shares of Corning Inc. (NYSE:GLW), declined -1.05% to $20.80, during its last trading session.

Corning Incorporated, and Tianma Micro-Electronics Group recently declared Tianma`s selection of Corning Lotus(TM) NXT Glass for its two new low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) display panel models.

Tianma successfully incorporated Lotus NXT Glass into its 5.46-inch and 4.97-inch full high-definition products. Tianma creates LTPS panels for use in high-resolution smartphones and tablets that feature upward of 500 pixels per inch (ppi).

“After evaluating Lotus NXT Glass in our manufacturing lines, we are confident it will meet both our tough requirements and our customers` tough requirements for high-ppi displays,” said Wang Lei, general manager, Tianma Xiamen. “In particular, we are impressed with its low level of total pitch variation and its excellent etching performance.”

Lotus NXT Glass provides industry-leading levels of minimal total pitch variation. This allows panel makers to use tighter design rules, assisting them improve yields and develop higher-resolution devices with lower power consumption.

Corning Incorporated manufactures and sells specialty glasses, ceramics, and related materials worldwide. The company operates through five segments: Display Technologies, Optical Communications, Environmental Technologies, Specialty Materials, and Life Sciences.

Finally, Union Pacific Corporation (NYSE:UNP), ended its last trade with 1.25% gain, and closed at $100.92.

On May 29, Union Pacific’s 2014 Sustainability and Citizenship Report, counting a redesigned online version, recounts the company’s evolving approach to operating safely, strengthening communities, engaging employees and preserving the environment. The sixth annual report also declares the company’s new fuel consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions reduction aim.

  • Assisting customers eliminate an estimated 35.8 million metric tons of greenhouse gases by choosing rail over truck transportation.
