Three Hot Stocks To Watch List: Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C), ArcelorMittal (NYSE:MT), Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE:ALU)

On Friday, Shares of Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C), gained 0.24% to $54.97.

On May 15, Citi Retail Services, one of the country’s largest and most practiced private label credit card issuers, was chosen as a finalist in the Innovation of the Year category in The 2015 American Business AwardsSM for its Field Sales Team Enhancement project.

Citi Retail Services, a unit of Citi, launched the Field Sales Team Enhancement project to assist its in-store credit sales teams enhance analytic capabilities and effectiveness to drive business for its retail client partners. The project won a silver award in this year’s PYMNTS.com Innovator Awards and was recognized in the 2014 Financial World Innovation Awards.

American Business Awards judges chose finalists from more than 3,300 nominations. Award winners will be declared on June 22.

Citigroup Inc., a diversified financial services holding company, provides various financial products and services for consumers, corporations, governments, and institutions worldwide. The company operates through two segments, Global Consumer Banking (GCB) and Institutional Clients Group (ICG). The GCB segment offers traditional banking services to retail customers through retail banking, commercial banking, Citi-branded cards, and Citi retail services.

Shares of ArcelorMittal (NYSE:MT), declined -0.45% to $11.14, during its last trading session.

ArcelorMittal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (`MoU`) to set up an automotive steel manufacturing facility under a Joint Venture (`JV`) arrangement in India.

The MoU was signed in London recently by Mr. Lakshmi Mittal, Chairman and CEO of ArcelorMittal, and Mr. C.S. Verma, Chairman of SAIL. Mr. Rakesh Singh, Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Steel and Mr. Aditya Mittal, ArcelorMittal CFO and CEO ArcelorMittal Europe, were also present.

The MoU is the first step of a process to establish a JV between the two companies. The projected JV will construct a state-of-the-art cold rolling mill and other downstream finishing facilities in India that will offer technologically advanced steel products to India`s rapidly growing automotive sector. India is forecast to become the world`s fourth largest automobile manufacturing nation by 2020, growing from about 3.5 million units recently to over 7 million units1. In response to the level of demand, and supported by the Indian Government`s `Make In India` programme, which has been designed to transform India into a global manufacturing hub, automotive manufacturers have been establishing an raised presence in the country.

ArcelorMittal, together with its auxiliaries, operates as an integrated steel and mining company worldwide. The company operates through five segments: NAFTA; Europe; Brazil and Neighboring Countries (Brazil); Africa & Commonwealth of Independent States (ACIS); and Mining.

At the end of Friday’s trade, Shares of Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE:ALU), lost -1.54% to $3.84.

Alcatel-Lucent, is bringing the dynamism of the cloud to service provider IP and optical networks with its new SDN-based Network Services Platform (NSP). The industry’s first fully unified approach to service automation and network control empowers service providers to deliver a simplified, on-demand, end-user experience.

According to industry analyst firm ACG, the Alcatel-Lucent Network Services Platform streamlines definition of new services, allowing innovative offerings to be designed more than 58% faster and with at least 56% fewer resources than has been possible before. Once defined, the new services can be provisioned instantaneously across multiple layers, domains, and networking vendor platforms. In addition, Bell Labs research shows that operators are also able to support 24% more revenue-generating traffic by using sophisticated algorithms to intelligently distribute new connections across their network.

Alcatel-Lucent provides Internet protocol (IP) and cloud networking, and ultra- broadband access worldwide. The company’s Core Networking segment offers IP routing, carrier Ethernet, network functions virtualization, and software defined networking applications and infrastructure to meet the challenges of network traffic growth while supporting the delivery of cloud-enabled business, mobile, and residential services for service providers, mobile network operators, cable/multiple system operators, transportation, utilities, and large-scale enterprises.
