Trader’s Buzzers: Verizon Communications, (NYSE:VZ), Exelon Corporation, (NYSE:EXC), Progressive, (NYSE:PGR), The ADT Corporation, (NYSE:ADT)

On Wednesday, Shares of Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), gained 0.28% to $49.69.

RootMetrics, an independent mobile analytics firm based in Seattle, released its eighth Houston RootScore® report and Verizon Wireless received the highest award for overall network performance in and around the fourth most populous city in the United States.

Each RootScore is calculated from a combination of tests that are weighted to reflect the impact that a consumer would experience. Scores were based on RootMetrics testing performed between April 18-25, 2015, where the company ranked the four major U.S. wireless providers in six network performance categories: Overall, Reliability, Speed, Data, Call and Text.

RootMetrics drove over 3,856 miles across the Greater Houston area, in addition to testing many indoor locations. The company said its study was designed to portray a typical consumer mobile network performance experience.

Verizon operates the nation’s largest and most reliable 4G LTE network.

Shares of Exelon Corporation (NYSE:EXC), declined -0.84% to $34.33, during its last trading session.
