Traders Recap: Citrix Systems, (NASDAQ:CTXS), Axcelis Technologies (NASDAQ:ACLS), Rackspace Hosting, (NYSE:RAX), Community Health Systems (NYSE:CYH)

On Tuesday, Shares of Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS), lost -2.37% to $67.62.

Citrix, declared that the company has been named as a leader in the Forrester Research, Inc. report, The Forrester Wave™: Server-Hosted Virtual Desktops (VDI), Q3 2015. The report evaluated seven vendors based on 26 criteria, counting current offering, strategy and market presence.

According to the report, the “XenDesktop VDI offering is distinctive at several levels, from the user experience with Citrix Receiver endpoint clients that offer native HDX protocol support on all device and OS platforms to rich 3D graphics and multiple 4K monitor support and sophisticated features for multimedia and videoconferencing performance.” The report also noted that Citrix offers a “clever Wi-Fi-based mouse that works with the Citrix Receiver on the iOS platform.”

Citrix also received the highest scores for strategy and current offering, and is the only solution in the evaluation to offer FIPS 140-2 compliance, key encryption standard required by Federal government agencies. The report states that “on the back end, application layering and personal vDisks assist customers make better use of storage resources with pooled desktop instances, and customers can deploy them on Citrix, VMware or Microsoft hypervisors – a noteworthyadvantage.”

Citrix Systems, Inc. provides virtualization, mobility administration, networking, and Software as a Service solutions worldwide. The company’s Enterprise and Service Provider division offers XenMobile Enterprise, a solution to manage mobile devices, apps, and data; XenDesktop, a desktop virtualization system that gives customers the flexibility to deliver desktops and applications as cloud services; Citrix XenApp that allows Windows applications to be delivered as cloud services to Android and iOS mobile devices, Macs, PCs, and thin clients; and Citrix Workspace Suite, a business mobility solution that delivers the user experience for any app or desktop.

Shares of Axcelis Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:ACLS), inclined 11.72% to $2.67, during its last trading session.

Axcelis Technologies, declared that it has received orders for the Company’s Purion M™ medium current implanter from three leading specialty device chipmakers. The systems, ranging in wafer sizes from 150-300mm, will be used in high volume production of image sensors, power devices and specialty logic chips supporting automotive, mobile and the Internet of Things market spaces. The first system has shipped, with revenue predictable in the fourth quarter. The other tools will ship in the second half of 2016, upon completion of a R&D program funded by two customers.

“These wins highlight the advantages the Purion M provides for specialty device manufacturing, especially in the areas of energetic metals contamination control and advanced process control,” said Bill Bintz, executive vice president, engineering and marketing. “The Purion M’s innovative hybrid filtering technique is the only technology available recently specifically designed to utilize both magnetic and electrostatic filtration to enable unmatched metals filtration, subsequently delivering significantly higher device yield for our customers.” He continued, “New investments in R&D for advanced process control technologies, specifically designed to address emerging device types and substrates, will enable fabrication of these structures at the highest levels of productivity and yield.”

Axcelis Technologies, Inc. designs, manufactures, and services ion implantation and other processing equipment used in the fabrication of semiconductor chips worldwide. It provides offers a line of high energy, high current, and medium current implanters for all application requirements.

At the end of Tuesday’s trade, Shares of Rackspace Hosting, Inc. (NYSE:RAX), lost -4.26% to $25.19.

Rackspace, declared new Managed Security and Compliance Assistance offerings to assist customers in addressing data security, protecting critical business processes, and mitigating risks from potential cyberattacks and threats. These service offerings allow Rackspace to work with its customers to develop holistic security solutions and address compliance requirements that cover complex, multi-cloud environments.

Cybersecurity is a top precedingity for Rackspace and its customers. Rackspace Managed Security and Compliance Assistance lets customers leverage Rackspace security experts to assist with planned planning for best practice multi-cloud security, tactical day-to-day security monitoring and threat analysis to deter, detect and respond to potential threats around the clock.

“Every day, businesses are at risk of being affected by a security threat or data breach,” said Perry Robinson, vice president and general manager of Managed Security at Rackspace. “These threats often occur without warning, can be directed at any part of the business, and come from anywhere in the world. Damage from malicious parties can range from lost revenue and recovery costs to potential liability costs and compliance-related fines.”

Rackspace Hosting, Inc., through its auxiliaries, provides cloud computing services and managing Web-based IT systems for small and medium-sized businesses and large enterprises worldwide.

Finally, Community Health Systems (NYSE:CYH), ended its last trade with -1.76% loss, and closed at $40.84.

Community Health Systems, declared that auxiliaries of the Company have executed a definitive agreement to sell substantially all of the assets of 88-bed Lehigh Regional Medical Center in Lehigh Acres, Florida, together with related outpatient services, to auxiliaries of Prime Healthcare Services, Inc. The divestiture is predictable to close in the fourth quarter of 2015, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

The Company does not expect the divestiture to have a meaningful impact on financial operations. Following the divestiture of Lehigh Regional Medical Center, Community Health Systems associates will continue to operate 25 hospitals in Florida.

Community Health Systems, Inc., together with its auxiliaries, provides general and specialized hospital healthcare services to patients in the United States.
