Unilever’s stock gained Thursday, after the personal products company stated strong revenue growth for the third quarter.

Unilever said underlying sales grew 5.7% in the third quarter, with volume up 4.1% and prices up 1.5% in the quarter. The company said the high revenue growth was due to strong ice cream sales and some advanced sales in Latin America.

The company said it now anticipates underlying sales in the upper range of its estimated 2% to 4% growth for the full year.

“Our model of competitive, profitable, consistent and responsible growth is built on sustained investment in our brands, infrastructure and people,” CEO Paul Polman said in a statement. “The sharpened strategies across the four categories are gaining traction and a stronger innovation pipeline is increasingly driving growth. As the results show, the scale and breadth of our portfolio brings resilience in challenging economic conditions.”

On other hand, Shares of Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation (NASDAQ:PPC), inclined 0.58% to $18.28.
