On Friday, Shares of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), lost -0.87% to $121.30.

BMW and Apple may rekindle a courtship put on hold after an exploratory visit by executives of the world’s top maker of electronic gadgets to the headquarters of the world’s biggest seller of premium cars, according to Reuters.

Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook had reportedly visited the BMW headquarters and Apple executives visited the Leipzig factory last year for learning the manufacturing of the i3 electric car. However, the dialogue ended without conclusion because Apple appears to want to explore developing a passenger car on its own, one of the sources said.

The report emerged in Germany’s Manager-Magazine last week. BMW were willing to provide spare parts for the Apple Car, but was not willing to share its manufacturing knowledge as it would become a mere supplier to the company. Apple executives have sought detailed information about tooling and production, and the automaker was ready to license the parts.

“Apple executives were impressed with the fact that we abandoned traditional approaches to car-making and started afresh,” a BMW source.

Apple Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets mobile communication and media devices, personal computers, watches, and portable digital music players worldwide. The company also sells related software, services, accessories, networking solutions, and third-party digital content and applications.

Shares of General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), declined -0.08% to $26.10, during its last trading session.

General Electric Company declared the appointment of two new Company officers. Effective August 1, GE will have 195 officers globally who lead large revenue-generating businesses or are in critical technology or functional roles, assisting to drive growth.

Tim Donovan, 44, has been designated vice president and chief financial officer of Power Generation Services – GE Power & Water. Donovan holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bentley University, Waltham, MA and a master’s degree in business administration from Duke University, Durham, NC, and is a graduate of GE’s Financial Administration Program.

Christine Furstoss, 51, has been designated vice president and technical director of manufacturing, chemical, and materials technologies – GE Global Research. Most recently she was a technology director for GE Global Research focused on manufacturing & materials.

General Electric Company (GE) operates as an infrastructure and financial services company worldwide. The company’s Power and Water segment offers gas, steam and aeroderivative turbines, nuclear reactors, generators, combined cycle systems, controls, and related services; wind turbines; and water treatment services and equipment.

Finally, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), ended its last trade with 0.26% gain, and closed at $46.79.

After nearly seven weeks of challenging negotiations, Verizon is preparing for all potential scenarios following the expiration of its contracts with the CWA and IBEW, covering more than 37,000 Wireline employees in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The contracts expire at midnight, Aug. 1, 2015.

While the company presented union leaders with a comprehensive initial offer on June 22 that comprised of a solid wage enhance, union leaders countered with a series of proposals that did virtually nothing to advance the progress of negotiations.

“Employees are eligible to receive up to five weeks of paid vacation time, not counting paid sick days and paid excused days,” said Marc Reed, Verizon’s chief administrative officer. “While we’re willing to consider all offers, union leaders came back with counterproposals that would offer up to 19 additional days off, counting new holidays, employee birthdays, more vacation days and additional sick days. That sort of proposal is unrealistic and out-of-touch in today’s marketplace.”
