Volatile Movements: Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT), Sysco Corporation (NYSE:SYY)

On Tuesday, Shares of Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), gained 3.26% to $16.16.

Bank of America executive Martin Richards has joined HSBC in San Francisco as executive vice president and U.S. head of middle-market banking, according to his LinkedIn profile.

In recent weeks, his exit from BofA has been cloaked in mystery, with BofA not responding to requests for comment on his departure and an HSBC spokesman at one point describing talk of his joining the bank as “speculation.”

Richards played a highly visible role at California’s largest bank. For part of his tenure at BofA, (NYSE: BAC) he was San Francisco market president. Most recently he was, as his LinkedIn profile puts it, “enterprise client coverage executive.” Essentially, he assisted deliver all of the bank’s services to business clients. In that role, Richards worked with BofA senior executives across the country and had monthly one-on-one calls with BofA CEO Brian Moynihan.

Richards originally joined Bank of America in 1992 and returned in 2001, after working at an Internet startup and elsewhere. American City Business Journals added.
