Apple Inc. and Cisco Systems Inc. are teaming up to assist bring more iPhones and iPads to business users.

The partnership, declared Monday, is aimed at assisting Apple’s mobile devices communicate more effectively on corporate networks where Cisco gear is widely used, the companies said. They also plan to jointly work on technology to assist workers with iPhones and iPads better exploit Cisco’s partnership products, counting its video- and Web- conferencing services.

Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook and Cisco Chairman John Chambers said their firms spent 10 months working on collaboration, which they outlined to thousands of Cisco sales representatives Monday at a gathering in Las Vegas.

“It became clear to me that partnering with Cisco would yield the results that would enable us to transform work,” Mr. Cook said in an interview.

The declaration comes as Apple, a powerhouse in devices sold to consumers, has been taking steps to build a broader presence in business.

Cisco Systems, Inc. designs, manufactures, and sells Internet Protocol (IP) based networking products and services related to the communications and information technology industry worldwide.

Shares of United Continental Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:UAL), declined -0.26% to $56.97, during its last trading session.

United Continental Holdings, Inc. (UAL) will replace Hospira, Inc. (HSP) in the S&P 500 after the close of trading on Wednesday, September 2. Hospira is being attained by Pfizer Inc. (PFE) in a transaction predictable to be accomplished on or about that date.

United Continental Holdings, Inc., together with its auxiliaries, provides air transportation services in North America, the Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. It transports people and cargo through its mainline operations, which use jet aircraft with at least 118 seats, and its regional operations. As of December 31, 2014, the company operated a fleet of 1,257 aircraft.

Finally, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (NYSE:FCAU), ended its last trade with -1.46% loss, and closed at $14.13.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is offering $100 prepaid debit cards to owners of recalled vehicles to assist ensure cars and trucks with potential safety defects get repaired, the company said on Monday, according to Reuters.

The U.S. arm of the automaker is also offering $1,000 in special discounts or incentives to the owners of recalled vehicles, if they choose to trade them in and buy a new car or truck. Reuters Reports

FCA has had difficulty convincing some owners of its older-model recalled vehicles to bring them in for repairs, counting Jeep Grand Cherokee sport utility vehicles from model years 1993 to 1998 and Jeep Liberty SUVs from model years 2002 to 2007. Reuters added.
