On Tuesday, CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS)’s shares declined -0.88% to $100.02.
A new study by researchers at the CVS Health (CVS) Research Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital provides evidence that patients’ patterns of medication fills in the first few months after starting on a chronic therapy accurately predict future medication adherence behavior. The study, published in The American Journal of Managed Care, suggests that this approach may assist quickly identify those patients most likely to benefit from medication adherence interventions.
The study comprised of claims data from more than 77,000 Medicare beneficiaries that began taking a statin or statin combination drug over a three year period and whose pharmacy benefits are administered by CVS/caremark, the pharmacy benefit administration company of CVS Health. Based on patterns of prescription filling over the year following therapy initiation, the researchers used group-based trajectory models to classify patients into six adherence trajectories–ranging from non-adherent to near-perfect adherence–to assist capture both duration and intensity of medication taking. The results showed that patient patterns of initial medication filling in the first two to four months following initiation of a prescription accurately predicted future adherence behavior, allowing precise prediction of the patterns of medication taking over the subsequent year.

T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS)’s shares dropped -1.09% to $42.35.
T-Mobile (TMUS) took a dig at Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) with its newest TV commercial touting its expanding LTE coverage, tweaking Verizon’s recent TV ad that featured geese. The new T-Mobile ad is meant to highlight its growing 700 MHz A Block deployment and improved coverage and in-building penetration.
“There’s a network that never stops improving, that’s grown faster than any other,” a narrator intones as the commercial shows mountain vistas. The ad says the network now covers “nearly every American, and these geese” as it shows a flock of geese flying in unison. The voiceover then notes that, “But, it’s not who you think.” Verizon ran a recent ad featuring geese that “return home” to Verizon after suffering poor network quality and buffering on their phones, presumably on another network like T-Mobile’s.
T-Mobile is touting its 700 MHz deployment as “Extended Range LTE” that “reaches twice as far” and is “four times better in buildings.” The ad then intones, “Think you know our LTE coverage? Think again!” and shows how T-Mobile plans to expand its LTE coverage from 2014 to 2015.

At the end of Tuesday’s trade, Energy Transfer Partners LP (NYSE:ETP)‘s shares dipped -0.71% to $44.90.
Sunoco, Inc., wholly owned by Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. (ETP), International Speedway Corporation (NASDAQ Global Select Market: ISCA; OTC Bulletin Board: ISCB) (“ISC”) and Sunoco declared recently a multi-year partnership that will make Sunoco the fourth Founding Partner at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) as part of its historic $400 million DAYTONA Rising redevelopment project.
The DAYTONA Rising project, encompassing the Speedway’s nearly one-mile long frontstretch, will be complete by January 2016. DAYTONA Rising will transform DIS into the world’s first motorsports stadium with premium amenities and attractions.
The multi-year agreement will provide Sunoco with naming rights for one of five fan injectors. The massive, new and redesigned entry statement comprises over 20,000 square feet of Sunoco engagement and fan experiences that vertically span four concourse levels. Financial terms of the agreement were not revealed.
Additionally, Sunoco will have branding rights for one of the fan “neighborhoods” located near its injector. A total of 11 football field-size neighborhoods will be located throughout the new frontstretch, each featuring custom bar, retail and dining areas, in addition to dozens of video screens.
Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. engages in the natural gas midstream, and intrastate transportation and storage businesses in the United States. Crocs, Inc. (NASDAQ:CROX), ended its Tuesday’s trading session with 2.64% gain, and closed at $15.17.
Crocs, Inc. (CROX) declared that Terence Reilly was promoted to senior vice president (SVP) and chief marketing officer (CMO). In this new role, Reilly will continue to lead the Global Marketing team in Niwot, Colorado, providing planned direction and support to the company’s regional and country marketing teams across the globe. Reilly will continue to oversee all aspects of Crocs’ marketing, counting the company’s brand, advertising, consumer and social media campaigns.
