Afternoon Trade News Alert on: Pioneer Energy Services Corp (NYSE:PES), Unilever N.V. (NYSE:UN), Brandywine Realty Trust (NYSE:BDN), NextEra Energy (NYSE:NEE)

Pioneer Energy Services (PES) recently stated financial and operating results for the quarter ended June 30, 2015. Notable items for the second quarter and recent developments comprise:

  • Well servicing rig utilization was 73% with average pricing of $595 per hour.
  • Drilling utilization in the second quarter was 63% based on an average fleet of 37 rigs.
  • Year-to-date sold 27 mechanical and lower horsepower electric drilling rigs for net proceeds of $33.4 million and have one additional rig designated as held-for-sale.
  • Mobilizing the second of five new-build 1,500 horsepower AC drilling rigs planned to be delivered in 2015.
  • Presently have 17 rigs earning under contract, which comprises six rigs earning but not working.

Unilever, declared that it has signed a contract to acquire Murad, a leading clinical skincare brand. This follows the recent acquisitions of Dermalogica, Kate Somerville and REN, which jointly position Unilever as a key player in the personal care prestige segment.

Founded in 1989 in Los Angeles, Murad is the first modern doctor brand, with a mission to provide proven, efficacious products. Howard Murad MD, a dermatologist, pharmacist, and UCLA professor, developed a unique recipe of antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and hydrators to address virtually every skin care concern, from acne to anti-ageing. Murad has a noteworthypresence in the US through professional salons and spas such as Massage Envy, and specialist retailers such as Sephora, Ulta and Nordstrom; in addition to through direct sales. It also has a regional hub for Europe located in the UK, and the brand can be found in over 42 countries, in department stores, pharmacies, spas and salons.

Unilever N.V. operates as a fast-moving consumer goods company in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australasia, Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. The company operates through Personal Care, Foods, Refreshment, and Home Care segments.

Shares of Brandywine Realty Trust (NYSE:BDN), during its Friday’s current trading session raised 1.06%, and is now trading at $13.83.

Brandywine Realty Trust, declared the results of its 2015 Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the “Annual Meeting”) which was held on May 28, 2015. Shareholders of record on the April 2, 2015 record date were entitled to vote at the Annual Meeting. A total of 166.5 million common shares representing about 92.6% were cast at the Annual Meeting. Shareholders voted FOR all three proposals: the election of eight trustees, the ratification of the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as our independent registered public accounting firm for 2015, and a non-binding, advisory vote regarding the compensation of our named executive officers. NextEra Energy Capital Holdings, declared that it will conduct a remarketing of its Series F Debentures due Sept. 1, 2017 (the “Debentures”) (CUSIP No. 65339K AE0), which are presently outstanding in the aggregate principal amount of $650 million, on Aug. 5, 2015 (and, if necessary, on the following two business days). The Debentures were originally issued as part of NextEra Energy, Inc.’s Corporate Units (CUSIP No. 65339F 887) on Sept. 11, 2012 (the “Corporate Units”) in conjunction with a Purchase Contract Agreement, dated as of Sept. 1, 2012 (the “Purchase Contract Agreement”). The Debentures are guaranteed by NextEra Energy Capital Holdings’ parent company, NextEra Energy, Inc. (NEE).

If the remarketing is successful, the interest rate on the Debentures will be reset to a rate that will enable the Debentures to be remarketed at a price equal to or greater than the sum of the Remarketing Treasury Portfolio Purchase Price, the Separate Debentures of the Twenty-Second Series Purchase Price and the Remarketing Fee (as those terms are defined in the Officer’s Certificate, dated Sept. 11, 2012, creating terms of the Debentures under the Indenture, dated as of June 1, 1999, as amended). The reset interest rate and the subsequent interest payment dates will be established on the date of the successful remarketing and become effective on the third business day following the date of such successful remarketing. The Remarketing Fee will not exceed 0.25 percent of the sum of the Remarketing Treasury Portfolio Purchase Price plus the Separate Debentures of the Twenty-Second Series Purchase Price.
