After a chaotic launch in December 2020, CD Projekt RED’s long-awaited futuristic RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, has undergone a phenomenal number of negative reviews on Steam. Almost three years after its release, the title has finally managed to rise again and get the praise it now deserves. Players have forgiven the Polish studio’s past mistakes thanks to two and a half years of considerable effort and substantial improvements. Because it’s a fact, CD Projekt has worked tirelessly to correct the defects of the game, and improve what needed to be. Currently, the game holds a 80% positive reviews on Steam allowing it to reach the Holy Grall of Steam reviews: the “very positive” average. In all, the game got 547,229 reviews from players. Marcin Momot, the community manager at CD Projekt Red, expressed his gratitude to the players on Twitter for their support and positive feedback.

Cyberpunk 2077: an example of redemption like No Man’s Sky before it?
THE Cyberpunk 2077’s chaotic debut are still remembered. The players, full of hope after the successes of video game adaptations of The Witcher saga were disappointed with the game’s numerous technical issues. Beyond its technical condition, the game also had shortcomings in its in-game structure, which frustrated gamers looking for a good RPG. However, over the years the studio has rolled out numerous fixes and patches to improve the gaming experience, and it paid off.
