AC Milan announced the signing of Italian goalkeeper Marco Sportello from Atlanta club during the current summer transfer market.

Milan published on their official website that they have signed a contract with Atlanta goalkeeper Sportillo until the 2027 season to protect the Rossoneri’s lair.

The statement read: AC Milan are delighted to announce the arrival of Marco Sportello on 1 July 2023. The Italian goalkeeper has signed a contract with the club until 30 June 2027.

Career Highlights

Sportillo started in the youth sector with Atalanta, then played with Sereno in the 2010/2011 season, Poggibonsi in the 2011/2012 season, and Carpi in the 2012/13 season before returning to the ranks of Atalanta. He played 88 matches between the 2013 season and the 2017 season.

Then he moved to the ranks of Fiorentina, playing 39 matches with them, before leaving for Frosinone in the 2018/2019 season. He returned to Atalanta before the 2019/2020 season.

Jersey Number

Italian goalkeeper Marco Sportello will wear the number 57 jersey for the Italian team starting from the next season.
