Active Stocks in Action: JB Hunt Transport Services, (NASDAQ:JBHT), SeaDrill Limited, (NYSE:SDRL), Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, (NYSE:POT)

On Tuesday, Shares of JB Hunt Transport Services Inc. (NASDAQ:JBHT), lost -1.16% to $82.09.

JB Hunt Transport Services, joined the S&P 500 this week, replacing Integrys Energy Group. Integrys is being attained by Wisconsin Energy in a deal that’s predictable to close this week.

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., together with its auxiliaries, provides surface transportation and delivery services in the continental United States, Canada, and Mexico. The company operates in four segments: Intermodal (JBI), Dedicated Contract Services (DCS), Integrated Capacity Solutions (ICS), and Truck (JBT).

Shares of SeaDrill Limited (NYSE:SDRL), declined -0.86% to $10.34, during its last trading session, despite oil prices ended higher as it rebounded from three-week lows on Tuesday with U.S. refined fuel trading leading the rally on bets for strong summer demand, even as Greece’s move toward a debt default threatened to jolt global markets.

Prices also rose on the expectation that weekly inventory data due Wednesday would show a ninth straight weekly decline in U.S. oil supplies, according to WSJ.

Light, sweet crude for August delivery settled up $1.14, or 2%, at $59.47 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. WSJ Reports.

Brent, the global benchmark, rose $1.58, or 2.5%, to $63.59 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe. The contract rose 15% in the second quarter, the biggest single-quarter percentage gain since the first quarter of 2011, but fell 3% in June. WSJ added.

Seadrill Limited, an offshore drilling contractor, provides offshore drilling services to the oil and gas industry worldwide. The company operates through Floaters and Jack-up Rigs segments. The Floaters segment provides drilling, completion, and maintenance services for offshore exploration and production wells. Its drilling contracts regarding semi-submersible rigs and drillships for harsh and benign environments in mid, deep, and ultra-deep waters.

Finally, Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (NYSE:POT), ended its last trade with 0.10% gain, and closed at $30.97.

Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, confirmed that it has made a private proposal to K+S Aktiengesellschaft (K+S) (SDF:GR) to negotiate the acquisition of K+S by PotashCorp.

There is no certainty that any offer will ultimately be made or as to the terms on which such an offer might be made.

PotashCorp does not intend to make any additional comments on this matter at this time unless and until it is appropriate to do so, or a formal agreement has been reached.
