Active Stocks in Action: National Bank of Greece S.A. (NYSE:NBG), The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS), PTC Inc. (NASDAQ:PTC)

On Friday, Shares of National Bank of Greece S.A. (NYSE:NBG), gained 11.01% to $1.21, on reports that Greece and its creditors are moving closer to a deal.

A high level Eurozone official has said that Greece has presented a “thorough” proposal with the aim of getting a much needed third bailout and avoiding a possible exit from the euro, BBC.com reports.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and his government agreed to meet most of the terms Greece’s creditors had been demanding, The New York Times reports. Demands comprise tax enhances and spending cuts.

Greece shut down its banking system late last month to prevent them from collapse and will keep lenders closed until Monday as bailout talks with the country’s creditors continue, according to WSJ.

National Bank of Greece S.A., together with its auxiliaries, provides diversified financial services. The company is involved in retail and commercial banking, asset administration, investment banking, brokerage, and insurance activities.

Shares of The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS), inclined 0.73% to $116.44, during its last trading session, hitting its highest level, after analysts at JPMorgan issued a bullish note on the entertainment company.

Disney continues to be analysts’ top pick due to its consistent content execution and earnings strength that produced six successive “beat and raise” quarters, the firm noted.

Despite its latest fantasy movie Tomorrowland’s weak performance, analysts expect earnings strength to come from consumer products, and parks and media networks for the third quarter.

In other news, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI), together with Hasbro, Inc., declared the pre-sale of Playmation Marvel’s Avengers – the groundbreaking new system of toys and wearables that uses smart technology to inspire kids to run around and use their imaginations, as they become the hero or heroine of stories from Marvel’s Avengers. The Playmation Marvel’s Avengers Starter Pack, Smart Figures and Prowler Bot are accessible to pre-order online at Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, GameStop.com, Target.com, ToysRUs.com and Walmart.com, in addition to DisneyStore.com and at select Disney Store locations in the U.S. and Canada.

The Walt Disney Company, together with its auxiliaries, operates as an entertainment company worldwide. The company operates in five segments: Media Networks, Parks and Resorts, Studio Entertainment, Consumer Products, and Interactive.

Finally, PTC Inc. (NASDAQ:PTC), ended its last trade with -4.90% loss, and closed at $38.78.

PTC Inc., stated preliminary results for the third quarter FY’15 of about $303 million revenue and $0.13 to $0.14 earnings per share, counting a legal accrual described below under “Other Important Information.” Third quarter FY’15 non-GAAP revenue was about $304 million and $0.51 to $0.52 non-GAAP earnings per share. Software revenue of about $250 million, counting $84 million of license and subscription solutions (L&SS) revenue, was slightly below the guidance range while professional services revenue of about $54 million was in line with guidance. The company anticipates subscription solutions bookings, as a percentage of L&SS bookings, to be about 16% for the third quarter FY’15, slightly below guidance of 18%, due in part to several large perpetual license transactions in our Internet of Things business.

James Heppelmann, President and CEO said, “PTC preliminary third quarter non-GAAP earnings are above the high end of our guidance despite revenue coming in just below our guidance range. Although we saw a number of large deals in our core business push out at the end of the quarter, we delivered strong sequential growth in our Internet of Things business, closing a number of noteworthy deals among large, industrial companies that are adopting our platform for their IoT initiatives.”

PTC Inc. develops, markets, and supports software products and solutions in the areas of computer-aided design (CAD), product lifecycle administration (PLM), application lifecycle administration (ALM), service lifecycle administration (SLM), and Internet of things (IoT) worldwide.
