At the meeting, data were shared from a Phase 1b trial and preliminary data from a 100-patient randomized Phase 2 expansion of that trial testing the combination of encorafenib and cetuximab, an EGFR inhibitor, with or without the addition of alpelisib (BYL719) 1, an investigational PI3K inhibitor in patients with BRAF-mutant colorectal cancer (BRAFmut CRC). Results from the study indicate that these combinations can be administered with good tolerability and show promising clinical activity in this patient population with high unmet medical needs. Patient enrollment is now complete in the Phase 2 study.

Kandi Technologies Group, declared that Kandi Electric Vehicles Group Co., Ltd., the manufacturer of Kandi Brand electric vehicles, has received a payment of RMB 271.1 million (about US$44.3 million) representing a national subsidy for pure EV sales during the third and fourth quarter of 2014. The JV Company is a 50/50 joint venture between Kandi and Geely Automobile.
Mr. Hu Xiaoming, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kandi, commented “We are very happy to receive the national government’s subsidy payment for vehicle sales in the second half of 2014. Kandi accomplished the year ranked No. 1 in China in pure electric vehicle sales and production figures. Given the national government’s strong financial support, the growing demand for renewable energy vehicles, and the resulting rapid industry expansion, we believe the Kandi brand will continue to lead the market in pure electric vehicle production and sales growth in China.”

IMAX Corporation declared that Pixels, the action-comedy starring Adam Sandler, directed by Chris Columbus, and produced by Happy Madison Productions and 1492 Pictures, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX 3D format and released into select IMAX theatres domestically on July 24. The film will also be released in select overseas IMAX theatres in conjunction with their wide international release dates.
Together with Sandler, the film also stars Kevin James, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad and Michelle Monaghan.
