Active Stocks in Review: Gilead Sciences, (NASDAQ:GILD), Ericsson, (NASDAQ:ERIC), SolarEdge Technologies, (NASDAQ:SEDG)

On Monday, Shares of Gilead Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ:GILD), gained 0.54% to $115.66.

Gilead Sciences, declared that Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare approved the company’s once daily oral tablet hepatitis C treatment, Harvoni.

Harvoni, together with Gilead’s other hepatitis C treatment regiment Sovaldi, are two of Gilead’s most profitable treatments and combined represented about 60% of the company’s revenue, about $4.55 billion, in first quarter this year.

Analysts at Maxim maintained their “buy” rating and $127 price target on the company in a note recently following the company’s declaration of Japanese regulatory approval.

“Gilead continues to be a cash-flow generating machine, driven by Harvoni and Sovaldi as a best-in-class regimen… We would use any weakness over the quarter to build positions,” said analysts.

Gilead Sciences, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, discovers, develops, and commercializes medicines in areas of unmet medical need in North America, South America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific.

Shares of Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), declined -2.35% to $10.18, during its last trading session, hitting its lowest level.

Ericsson, declared the appointment of Paolo Colella as new Head of Region India. In this new role, Colella will also take a seat on Ericsson`s Global Leadership Team, reporting to the Chairman of Region India and Senior Vice President Asia-Pacific, Mats H Olsson. Colella succeeds Chris Houghton, who will assume the role of Head of Region North East Asia.

President and CEO Hans Vestberg says: “Chris has successfully managed Ericsson`s operations in India during his two years in the country and enabled our operations in the region to grow into the largest employee base for Ericsson in the world. Paolo takes over from Chris at a time when Ericsson in India is well poised for growth, and the team in India is fully geared to leverage the new market opportunities and contribute to the growth of the Indian telecom sector.”

Ericsson provides communications technology and services worldwide. The company’s Networks segment delivers products and solutions for mobile access, Internet protocol (IP) and transmission networks, core networks, and cloud.

Finally, SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:SEDG), ended its last trade with -9.14% loss, and closed at $32.79.

Andalay Solar, declared that its Instant Connect® Module is compatible with power optimizers supplied by SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. (“SolarEdge”) (SEDG), a global leader in PV inverters, power optimizers, and module-level monitoring services. The SolarEdge module add-on power optimizer can now be snapped onto the Andalay module frame using Andalay’s bracket. Andalay and SolarEdge have also agreed to work on developing DC Instant Connect®, a solution that will embed the power optimizer cables into the frame of the Andalay module to allow faster cable connection between modules with the intention of eliminating costly wire administration issues. In addition to the plug and play wiring, the DC Instant Connect® rail-less module further simplifies installation since it has built-in racking and grounding.

“SolarEdge is always seeking partners such as Andalay who have time and cost saving innovations in the critical balance-of-systems area within the U.S. rooftop solar market where we are seeing such high growth,” said Peter Mathews, North America General Manager for SolarEdge. “When the Andalay system is combined with the SolarEdge power optimizer in a plug and play manner, we can see great benefits for labor savings and more reliable, repeatable installations.”

SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. manufactures and supplies DC optimized inverter systems for solar PV installations. The company’s DC optimized inverter system comprises of power optimizers, inverters, and cloud-based monitoring software.
