Active Stocks in the Spotlight: Frontier Communications Corporation, (NASDAQ:FTR), Energy Transfer Equity, (NYSE:ETE), MetLife, (NYSE:MET)

On Monday, Shares of Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:FTR), gained 3.09% to $5.33.

Frontier Communications Corporation has selected DeLand as the site for a new business unit that will create 400 new jobs, according to American City business Journals.

The company’s expansion also will comprise a capital investment of $2.5 million for Volusia County.

Frontier Communications has existing business operations in DeLand and most recently accomplished an expansion in 2014 that added 180 jobs. The new business unit will add 32,000 square feet of office space to accommodate the 400 new jobs. With this latest declaration, Frontier Communications will employ 1,500 Floridians. Frontier Communications Corporation, a communications company, provides regulated and unregulated voice, data, and video services to residential, business, and wholesale customers in the United States.

Shares of Energy Transfer Equity, L.P. (NYSE:ETE), inclined 3.80% to $28.43, during its last trading session.

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. (ETP) declared that its associate, ETP Crude LLC (“ETP Crude”), will commence a binding Open Season for a new pipeline, the Delaware Basin Crude Gathering Pipeline (“Delaware Pipeline” or “Pipeline”), that will have the capacity to accept about 120,000 barrels per day of crude oil from receipt points located in Reeves County, Texas and Lea County, New Mexico for transportation to delivery points in Loving County, Texas and Lea County, New Mexico. Interstate service on the Delaware Pipeline will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

This project, when accomplished, will comprise of three separate gathering systems with an aggregate of about 130 miles of pipe. The gathering systems will deliver crude oil into the Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P. (SXL) Delaware Basin Extension. The Pipeline is projected to be in service in the first half of 2016.

Energy Transfer Equity, L.P., through its auxiliaries, provides diversified energy-related services in the Unites States. It owns and operates about 7,700 miles of natural gas transportation pipelines and 3 natural gas storage facilities located in the state of Texas; and about 12,800 miles of interstate natural gas pipeline.

Finally, MetLife, Inc. (NYSE:MET), ended its last trade with 2.62% gain, and closed at $56.36.

MetLife declared that Cindy Tang will join the company as its Vice President and Head of Communications for the Asia region. Cindy will be based out of MetLife’s Asia region office in Hong Kong and will start with the company on August 20, 2015. Cindy will report to Jeanmarie McFadden, Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for MetLife. At the same time, she will become a member of MetLife’s Asia Leadership Group and will work closely with Christopher Townsend, President of Asia for MetLife.

In this role, Cindy will offer planned direction in corporate communications to support senior leaders in Asia for the various and ambitious business strategies across the region. She will also spearhead all communications initiatives.
