On Friday, Shares of Ocwen Financial Corp (NYSE:OCN), gained 2.10% to $7.79.

The NAACP New York State Conference, in partnership with Ocwen Financial Corporation (OCN), declared its third local homeowner outreach event to assist struggling borrowers. The “Assist & Hope for Homeowners” event will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Uniondale, NY, and will offer New York homeowners the opportunity to meet with Ocwen Home Retention Agents and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development approved financial counselors to learn about loan modification programs, counting principal reductions, that can assist make their homes more affordable. This event for Ocwen customers follows successful events recently held in Chicago and Ft. Lauderdale where over 250 borrowers sought solutions.

In August 2015, New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli issued a report on foreclosure activity in New York, finding that “trends in both new foreclosure filings and the total number of pending foreclosure cases indicate that the problem is far from resolved.” Specifically, the downstate area outside of New York City has practiced “the greatest number of pending foreclosures, and has practiced relatively rapid growth in the number of pending foreclosure cases over the past two years.”

Ocwen Financial Corporation, a financial services holding company, engages in servicing and origination of mortgage loans in the United States. T. Rowe Price’s 2015 Parents, Kids & Money Survey revealed that having conversations with kids about money is critical to raising financially savvy kids. There is also a noteworthy benefit in letting kids experience money, and providing an allowance is one way to do that. T. Rowe Price encourages parents to invest in their kids’ futures by talking to them about money matters weekly. However, we were surprised to see the extent to which letting kids experience money may have an impact. While giving kids an allowance is one way to let them experience money, parents can also consider opening up a savings account for them or letting them use a debit or credit card, with some guardrails of course.

At the end of Friday’s trade, Shares of Cerner Corporation (NASDAQ:CERN), lost -1.61% to $59.83.

Finally, Rackspace Hosting, Inc. (NYSE:RAX), ended its last trade with -1.68% loss, and closed at $30.52.

Rackspace Hosting, declared that Brigade, a startup building tools for people to express their civic identity, learn about their friends and neighbors and work toward common aims together, is using Rackspace OnMetal Cloud Servers powered by OpenStack. Cloud-like dedicated OnMetal servers allow Brigade to power its omnichannel app with speed, stability, and reliability.

Brigade uses the latest social and mobile technology to engage ordinary citizens in government through topics like issue advocacy and elections. The app assists people come together to declare their beliefs and values, get organized with likeminded people and take action together. Founded in June 2014, Brigade’s iOS, Android, and desktop apps were released into beta earlier this summer.
