“Implementing and upgrading point-of-sale systems to the latest technology can be challenging for SMBs,” said Geoff Thomas, TCF’s managing director of customer segments and alternative channels. “We selected First Data’s payment solutions because they provide all of the tools SMBs need to run and grow their brick-and-mortar, online, and mobile businesses.”

TCF Bank SMB customers can implement or upgrade to the latest payment technology with First Data’s Clover point-of-service solution. First Data’s payment solutions comprise stationary and mobile terminals that accept most payment types (PIN Debit, EMV, NFC) and streamline business operations through its expansive Clover App Market—all in a safe and secure environment. SMBs also can grow their businesses with loyalty programs like First Data’s digital gift card application and learn more about their customers and competitors with First Data’s small business analytics tool.

TCF Financial Corporation operates as the bank holding company for TCF National Bank that provides various retail and commercial banking products and services. The company’s Lending segment offers retail lending services, counting consumer loans for personal, family, and household purposes, such as home purchases, debt consolidation, and financing of home improvements.
